I am appreciative of Detective Redding because while he was serious in his efforts to close the case of the murdered store owner he did not disrespect me in the process of determining what my agenda was in taking pictures of the crime scene.
Of course I was required to do my part in not amplifying the situation per my responses to his questions and demands for me to show identification. The key points remain that Detective Redding and the other patrol officer did not provoke a confrontation with me - a Black man - by being unnecessarily aggressive with their verbal or physical interaction with me. Nor did they pursue an undue course of action with regard to their demands that I delete the pictures in my camera or demand that they be allowed to search my car.
I am happy that the dogged work by Detective Redding and the other investigators were able to identify Eric Lamar Carr as the main murder suspect in the murder of store owner, Michael Moore.

Glad to hear about a decent cop in a crime ridden city.
