Monitoring The Jockeying For The Mayor Of Chicago

If you want to understand the evidence of the Black community's full and complicit fusion with the Democratic Party and the consequences to our "Permanent Interests" - look no further than the present debate regarding the list of individuals who are lining up to compete for the top stop in the city.

If we use the reference of our "permanent interests" as a stake in the ground - please make note of how this is sublimated as people choose to feign racial outrage over the "disrespect" of Black candidates for the postion.  For me the greatest 'disrespect' for Black people in Chicago is evident in the situation within the public schools and the blood stains upon the street.

There is little intention to look at the present machine that is in power and hold it accountable for the present conditions as the people commit to moving forward.  Instead the debate has been hijacked to the point where Chicago must PROVE that it is a "progressive city" based upon how the news media and voters treat any Black candidate that puts their name into the hat.

The last bullet point is quite absurd.  Let's replace "race" with "ideology" and then detail if a "conservative" machine that controlled a city where Black Americans were left as they are in the Southside Of Chicago - if they would have a chance of getting reelected with any Black support.

We cannot allow the treatment of a "Black candidate" to be the PRIMARY litmus test for how our community has advanced.  The bottom line focus must be upon the attainment of our permanent interests.

I have observed that in several cities the local Black establishment will challenge the local voters to prove that the city is tolerant of Black people by electing a "Progressive who is Black" candidate.  Change the ideology and keep the color and you'll see this same leader working as the strongest opponent of such 'diversity'.
