The Partisan Control Over Key American Institutions - From Reagan To Obama

This diagram is presented as a means of documenting the history of control over the key political institutions in this nation by the two major political parties and their respective ideology.

I added the column entitled "Black Local and National Institutions" for the purpose of reminding people who have the tendency of "Looking past the local Democrats and focusing upon the National Republicans" the truth that the Black community has no elasticity regarding party and ideology. Where as America as a whole tosses out the party that is in power which has failed them economically, the Black community beng bound to the permanent struggle" milieu as proof that there needs to be more Democrats in power so that progressive policies can be given more power and thus correct the situation locally.
