Nursing Home Patients Can No Longer Dictate Racial Preferences For Care Givers

Indiana ruling halts caregiver choices based on race

I agree with this ruling in broad terms.  No patient's over-generalized preference for caregivers of a certain race should trigger discrimination by the facility they are in.   At some poin tif the patient doesn't like the line up of the staff - they need to go.

If one patient is overly hostile to staff based on race then it might be more practical to send staff members that can work with that patient in situations where dispensing of a patient is not an option.
