The Dekalb County Georgia Schools, Clayton County, and City of Atlanta Schools - each of them have had recent conflicts that have threatened the effective delivery of quality education to their students. In each case it has been the adult administrators over these schools that have been responsible for the conditions in question.
External regulatory forces have stepped in to provide enforcement in support of standards that the local school governance bodies and voters have seemed unwilling to do. "The Southern Association Of Colleges and Schools" (SACS) and the Georgia Governor's Office of Educational Accountability (I believe this is their name) are to be commended for busting up certain functional misalignments that those who are involved in the local fray are unwilling to fix.
Sadly these external forces of regulation won't survive their intrusion without being scrutinized for RACIST motivations of their actions. This is the filter that those who are more concerned with protecting the "Black Power Base" within these schools' administration more than they bother to concern themselves with the detailed processes and management necessary to express quality education for the children. This is the same consciousness that is present within the City of Washington DC in which the teachers unions are defended while the reforms made by Michelle Rhee are seen as the "assault". In addition when the NAACP's Ben Jealous appears to be more threatened by non-unionized teaching staffs in charter schools than he is with failing public schools that already have unionized staff - you see the commonality of thought: PROTECTION OF THE ESTABLISHMENT BY THE BLACK ESTABLISHMENT FORCES.

Whaaaat? You begin with a real concern, but your feedback isn't constructive.
This page ends up looking like another rant. So what?
Just saying. . .
Anon:
one person's "Rant" which is dismissed is another persons' PATTERN MATCHING - as he seeks to make note of the systematic means by which Black children have their quality education confiscated from them by the incompetent and greedy adults around them.
Hopefully with all the investigations going on, Dekalb will do what's necessary to uncover these scandals, learn from them, and get back to really educating their children. I think parents should be protesting the cheating and expect higher standards for their own children as well as their schools.
Anonymous, would constructive feedback be turning a blind eye to corruption or blaming someone else for our behavior?

The best thing that the people in Dekalb, Clayton and Fulton (Atlanta) have going for them is the LOCAL NEWS MEDIA!!!
If it wasn't for them and all of this was left up to the civil rights community - all of this would go unchecked.
The muckracking reporter - left/right and independent is a valuable resource. It is good to have public officials watching their back because someone is ready to expose their antics.
For some people, however, this is evidence that there is an ASSAULT UPON BLACK POWER and thus don't be surprised if Wendy Saltsman gets some push back for her aggressive investigations.
Yes, she's already received it the day after the 'apology'.... obviously Zepora believes anyone who respectfully asks [sp] her questions, is 'bullying' her.
It seems like if your family members are qualified for those positions, then you wouldn't need to threaten physical violence and make false accusations of being bullied.
She setting the wrong precedent and should resign
