Bob Herbert Documents The Woes With Black Males - Fails To Call For Political & Cultural Leadership Reforms In The Communities That Are Crushing Them

Bob Herbert: A tragic crisis of enormous magnitude is facing black boys and men in America.

Before I get into yet another transaction which documents my problem with Black Press operatives and their ultimate value in the reform of our community - lets set up the framework and then some grounds for evaluation.

1. Black Males Are Being Ground Up In A System That Ensnares Them
2. There Are Distinct Civic Services and Cultural Institutions That Are Failing Them
1. Schools
2. Churches
3. Law Enforcement
4. Economic Production
5. Entities That Regulate Community/Cultural Rites Of Passage
3. The Leadership Of These Institutions And The Adult Rank & File That Form The Balance Of Power Are Allowing This Benign Neglect To Take Place
4. An Activist Movement and the Black Press Exists To Bring Consciousness To These Problems

First take this framework and apply it to the Pre-Civil Rights South.   It was indeed true that there was a terrorizing possibility that a Black man who leaves his house for the night might never return home again because of this latent threat.  We all know the movement that was created to directly confront and correct this situation.  They knew who was the agent of terror in this environment.  The authorities were dragged in to ensure the protection of the people.

Now let's fast forward to today.  Much has changed in the way of the protections and recourse that the Black community has.  In addition more "favorable people" are now in solid control over these institutions after the vast majority of the enemies were driven out of power and have migrated out of the political district in question.

The problem that I have with the Black Establishment and Black Press agents like Bob Herbert is that - in the wake of the attainment of the political goals from the last interval of their political struggle - the promises that they sold the Black rank & file upon largely having been unmet - they are now leveraging their voice to tell of the continued problems within the Black community - specifically upon Black males yet their indictment is upon AMERICA AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL.

Who among the Black Press is looking skeptically at the last interval of political and community struggle and demanding that they stand accountable for the results.

I for one is not willing to continue to go along with the flow - in the name of Black Unity.  With "unity" as the driving mandate the Black community will continue to be played and the gross dysfunction that Hebert points out will go unchallenged.

If we do not adopt practical "human resource management" principles within our community, disallowing those who presently enjoy unchecked execution of their misdirection and prioritization to the detriment of our community's interests - we must accept the point that few people want to admit:

We Have Done Everything Necessary To Remain In The Place That We Presently Reside

Worse than the indictment against those who violate the principle that says: "we must come with LOVE and attempt to build up those who are in need of a helping hand".....................

are the people who look at the hijacked agendas for the benefit of external principalities and continue focus on external indictments without ever functionally engaging the EQUAL HUMAN RESOURCES they seek to improve.
