.....While The Collective Attention Of The Black Community Is Focused On The Tea Parties.................

Recall a few weeks ago as metro area leaders gathered together to back the Democratic candidate for Governor (and all other positions for that matter)?  They told of the need for CHANGE in Georgia and how "their guy" was the man to lead such CHANGE.

I fired back asking WHO ARE THEY to look outward at the state of Georgia and point out certain shortcomings when the truth is that the domain that they control have problems that are even more acute.

In my hands right now is an article from progressive operative Dr Ronald Daniels on the "State of Emergency In Black America".  He says:

July 14, 2010 - I have participated in several meetings and events lately, which have lead me to the disturbing conclusion that there is little urgency, spark, movement to protest, counter or overcome the "State Of Emergency" in the urban centers of Black America.

there is an awareness that large numbers of Black people are suffering, but that awareness appears not to have provoked a common, coordinated and EFFECTIVE response from Black leaders and organizations or an uprising from the masses.

Excuse me. Dr Ron Daniels is 1000% WRONG.
What we are seeing today IS THE RESULTS of the type of "common and coordinated response from Black leaders and organizations". I even argue that it has been EFFECTIVE.

The only problem is that it has been EFFECTIVE at addressing what they were truly interested in: BUILDING UP the "Democratic Party & Progressive MACHINE" that now presides over Black America.

They only INTENDED to address Black America's problems via the PROGRESSIVE/QUASI-SOCIALIST channels by which they operated. They have been wildly successful at what they have done. It is incontestable.

Where is the Black overlay group that is watching what is being done in our name and after 'trying harder at the very same thing' - the same operatives that directed us this way are now positioned to keep us focused on the trail that they have set up? Their leadership NEVER being challenge?

This 17 year old Black male was murdered in the context of a violent area where he lives.
These foster children that are being neglected and abused are majority Black - if history is any indicator. They entered this foster care system due to a massive amount of dysfunction in their family of birth. The neglect and abuse found in the family that the court system has assigned them to is merely a secondary source of damage that these children will receive.

As the grand "racism chasing" indictments fill our national newscasts and are the lead topic all week long in most "Black political blogs" few people are going to doggedly keep their eye on the issues that are happening WITHIN the Black community - the zone that they promise will be the primary beneficiary of their victory in the fight that they wage.

HOW DO YOU CONFOUND THE ARGUMENTS OF A "PROGRESSIVE WHO IS BLACK"?

ANSWER: Force him to retain his consciousness WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY and demand that he account for the conditions that he presides over per his popular mandate.

You should expect to be said to be "blaming the victim". They want you to join with them to wage their external fight. The result is that more political power is amassed on the backs of the presence of the problems that they show to garner unity in the vote.

Who will break the cycle by breaking up this UNIFIED agreement to be blind to the painful truths?

17 Year Old Murdered - Shot Several Times At The Pool

A 17-year-old died Thursday night after being shot several times while walking to a neighborhood swimming pool with his aunt, and the person responsible is still on the loose.

Shaquina Mitchell didn't hear the gunshots in her Clayton County neighborhood Thursday. But she told the AJC she had a bad feeling when she heard knocks on the front door shortly after 6 p.m.

"Kids came to the door, yelling that my family had been shot," Mitchell told the AJC. Mitchell and her son moved to Clayton County from Chicago in March to be closer to family, she said.

Mitchell said when she ran outside, she found her 30-year-old sister bleeding from the leg in the doorway of a neighbor's home. Her wounded sister pointed to the wooded path where moments before gunshots were fired.

Mitchell said she immediately took off running, toward a cut-through in the woods -- a shortcut her son, Darnell Fields, took frequently.

"Where's my baby? Where's my baby?" Mitchell said she screamed, as police officers arrived.

Mitchell said police wouldn't allow her to get close to her son, who she said was motionless on the ground.

"I seen him laying there, and I kept asking, ‘Is he breathing? Is he breathing?' " Mitchell said.

About two hours later, Mitchell said she was told her son had died. Her sister underwent surgery Thursday night at Grady Memorial Hospital to treat a gunshot wound to her left calf, she said.

The incident happened on a wooded path off of Faith Cove, near College Park, Officer Otis Willis with Clayton County police told the AJC.

Police have not made any arrests in connection with the shootings, but were still in the neighborhood investigating the incident, Willis told the AJC shortly before midnight.

Mitchell said her son was an honor roll student and ran track, even recently earning a second-place medal. He would have been a senior at North Clayton High School.

“He don’t have enemies," Mitchell said.

Old National Highway is yet another deadly thoroughfare for Black people where streets that connect to this main artery in College Park has been registered as several well noted murder scenes over the past 18 months.
