Over the past weekend there were two shootings outside of Atlanta area malls and a few other violent incidents at other shopping centers. This in addition to a wave of bank robberies.
This wave of violence around these commercial centers is having a nullifying effect upon individuals seeking to go into a public space for an afternoon of shopping. Now they have to think about the safety of their person and their property (car break ins during the middle of the day has spiked as well).
