10 years ago there was a local private party series called "First Friday's Atlanta". For all that I know it still might be going on.
The claim to fame for this particular event was that it was held at a new location each month and that only people who were on the e-mail distribution list would be able to find out where the event was. By not having a fixed location they did not have to pay rent and upkeep throughout the week when the facility was not used. By varying the location and requiring Internet access the "thugicity" of the crowd would be kept to a minimum.
Unfortunately for the "Mr V's Figure 8" facility on Campbelton Road in Southwest Atlanta - they have a fixed base and Street Pirates can easily find the location of the party. These fools fired 17 shots total while there was masses of people in the parking lot. It is a fortunate thing that no one got murdered.
Oh yeah - There will be no protests.
The Atlanta Civil Rights Community is busy making plans to be in Washington DC on August 28th.
