If you listen to certain Progressives you'd swear that they are the exclusive protectors of the US constitution and the integrity of all laws in America.
In the conversation over the Arizona enforcement of immigration laws we learned of a term called "Federal Supremacy". This says that where the US Constitution or laws speak the states must defer their laws and enforcements to the federal statues. This is the claim that the Obama Administration used to sue the State of Arizona against their new immigration enforcement law. While the minions on the street for the left were talking about "Racial Profiling" the US Justice Department dropped that weak charge and went for the stance that has a far greater chance of sticking: FEDERAL SUPREMACY.
We already showed you that the state of Rhode Island has been practicing the exact same enforcement of the violations of immigration laws but has escaped the attacks from the "Attack Left" that Arizona has suffered.
I intend to go a bit deeper in my analysis. This is not a post on immigration. Instead we need to talk about the law and those which are blown off per mass agreement, the violators of the law never suffering from the standard attacks:
- Suppressors Of Constitutional Rights - See those who suppress our 2nd Amendment Rights
- Law Breakers - Those who have no respect for the law. More on this later
- Violent Radicals - When we see protests against the authorities at the G20 or in Oakland these are people who take to violence because they were wronged thus their violent acts should not be seen as the violence seen as an expression of oppression
The truth of the matter is that THE LAW and its enforcement is rendered into that of a political statement when operatives - left and right - choose to politic with it. They use the enforcement of or they look the other way in the sight of certain offenses as they carry out their ideological bigotry.
The evidence is clear to me that Right wing administrations have no monopoly on selective politically based judicial action. Right before our eyes is an abundance of proof that shows that the present left-wing administration is as selective and aggressive in applying its judicial might.
As I "big picture" their perspective they would argue that they "look the other way" when it comes to laws that otherwise suppress the freedoms of individuals. These are the laws against drug use and pornography. They in turn crack down with laws and regulation on entities that oppress individuals. This is why the oppressive term "Boot On Their Necks" was applied metaphorically against corporations yet this sat well with people who would have otherwise been outraged had the same been said by a government official against a group of individuals.
With them holding the mantle of honor and moral certainty these forces on the left condemn the right-wing for having an inverse ideology. Seemingly the right seeks to allow corporations to do what they need to do to produce economic productivity in support of our nation's standard of living. Likewise they appear to be more inclined to regulate individual behavior so that issues such a drug use and/or behavior that shows disrespect to American institutions or religion are dutifully punished.
The series of videos that I have obtained from the National Geographic Channel recent series on illegal drugs hammers home certain points that advance my argument.

RIGHT? We won't here that charge applied upon this particular church.
It is clear that California and other states are thumbing the nose at federal law when it comes to marijuana. You know those "federal supremacy" theories that Attorney General Holder was talking about? Throw them out of the window. I might be high from second hand smoke but I also see a "patch work of STATE LAWS" in the map which indicate liberalized laws for the growth and consumption of marijuana.
Of course the counter-argument used against me will be that "the use of Marijuana and the breaking of federal law is a VICTIMLESS CRIME". The law itself is unjust so it should be ignored so that our nation might PROGRESS.
The point remains - Either you argue that the laws should be respected by all and thus changed by the formal processes to change the law OR you admit the obvious - as in the case with illegal immigration and drug laws - ENFORCE AND IGNORE THE LAWS BASED ON YOUR IDEOLOGICAL PREFERENCES............attack the adversaries using the appropriate "attack words" that bring the public along to your way of thinking.
As I looked at these "Weed Smoking Christians" in the video I asked "Once we get beyond their biblical justification for the magic weed, what is the content of the character of their religion?". It appeared to me that they too are cherry picking from the bible just as many White Supremacists did to justify all sorts of devilment. The character of their religious dogma can be found once me move away from their forte' and consider what other professions of their faith are expressed upon the world. Certainly they aren't following "Render to Caesar what is of Caesar's".
The Roots Of Anarchy
Underneath my critical inspection of Progressivism is the observation that anarchy is a distant cousin of their efforts. They are so bent upon plowing up conservative society traditions and enforcements that they can reach the point of plowing for the sake of the plowing action, having long forgotten the functional purpose of their actions and the tradition that had been in place.
As much as we are told about how the illegal status of the illegal drugs and the "War On Drugs" that enforce them leads to misspent millions and lives thrown away in prison when it comes to marijuana being California's #1 cash crop and certain people in on it for the money - the indictments against their motivations are never heard.
Aren't these people in the video the WHITE PEOPLE who don't get arrested for breaking the law?
Aren't these the WHITE PEOPLE from the suburbs who are able to mold the law to accommodate their
otherwise illegal habit instead of face the sanction of jail and confiscation of property by the state?
Note how the typical indictments that are often heard against this amorphous adversary won't be applied to these individuals who committed themselves to being filmed for a national show. They realize that no one is going to come after them for breaking the law.
Likewise this indictment against those who have the audacity to demand that the flow of people into our nation be regulated - just as the law says - seems arbitrary and empty. In the August 2010 edition of Ebony Magazine - actvist and lawyer Randall Robinson indicts the law in Arizona by pointing out that "favorable people" need only apply to the United States (Europeans). He failed to bring forth the notation about the quantities of illegals that pass across our borders as compared to those who are favored because of their race and come through the official channels. He withheld this information because he knows as I do - the numbers don't prove his case. He realized that his claims of RACISM in regards to the Haitians that are turned back is enough to pettifog the issue in the minds of those who chase grievances and thus miss the mark of the gross strategic flaw that they are agreeing to at present.
Next time you think to mention the honor of "Federal Supremacy" - Please save your breath and don't.
