Popular Positions Held By Black People DO NOT Equate To Black Permanent Interests

If some of you have never "heard" me before - please HEAR ME this time.

This "Democrat who is Black" leader in Alabama more perfectly makes my point than most other media clips that I have ever posted to make the case.

According to Mr Reed's logic and reasoning:
  • Popular views held by the balance of the Black population is indicative of Black peoples "Permanent Interests"
  • Since most Blacks are "Democrats" those who are in line with the Democratic Party best represent "Black Interests"
  • Since Rep Artur Davis did not support Obamacare as most Blacks do - then Davis stood against Black Interests
  • "We oppose folks who oppose 'BLACK FOLK'S POSITIONS".

Does anyone else see the elements of this circular logic in this argument?
Sadly though this a popular set of reasoning among the segment of Black people who support the Black Establishment and have outsourced our racial development via the American Political Domain.

With that said I am forced to agree with Joe Reed on his notion that his organization which is said to represent the interests of Black voters in Alabama has a certain policy where it will only endorse candidates that come before their panel.   To be clear - as long as Reed limits his organization to the role of representing those voters that subscribe to their message AND NOT make the claim that his organization represents the "genetic" Black people per se - I am willing to go along with it.  I am able to move to Alabama and set up my own 501c3, making the case that this organization represents the interests of all Blacks who are Northern transplants.  This is in line with free speech.

At the same time we can look at the long line of politics that did sit before the panel, received their endorsement and STILL the Black community did not benefit from their elected presence.  (See Birmingham schools)

The Actual Attainment Of Our "Permanent Interests" Is Evidence Of "Black Interests"

The key flaw in Mr Reed's argument is that he sets the "Black Interests" as the notion of popularly supported METHODOLOGIES about those policies which INTEND to deliver upon our community the benefits that we desire.    With this scheme we are put into a "permanent struggle" milieu. Few people will be inclined to take out their GPS and measure were we actually stand after several decades of struggling along this path.  They will merely be content to know that the masses of Black people have been united in this walk.

This is not an effective "human resource management" strategy.

It benefits those who have the present "establishment power".  Their justification for retaining their power is:  "Look how many Black people I have following me!!   You see - I must be doing things right or they would have abandoned me a long time ago.".

I cannot accept this scheme.

It is quite ironic that Mr Reed - political king maker in Alabama is never held to task as being a part of the crew which is responsible for the present conditions in the schools and on the streets of Birmingham, Montgomery and a few other choice places.   Despite having taken over the seats of power in many of these places - they are still allowed to put forth the "permanent struggle against White Supremacy" theme.    You see - we as Black people are still in balance "recovering from slavery in Alabama and beyond" than anyone is willing to admit that the kid born yesterday in the "Baptist Medical Center" in metro-Birmingham will have his character defined by the circumstances that he is presented with over the next 20 years.

Do you see that for Mr Reed and other Black Establishment operatives their present set of power is almost entirely couched upon them being able to sell the Black people of today upon the message: "Were it not for us........you'd still be a slave.   You should be eternally grateful for what we did to save you.   Since we have looked into the eyes of the White racist you need to follow our guidance lest you one day slip up and find yourself in slavery once again".

What most people fail to note is that there is not one ounce of ORGANIC COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT that is contained within this statement which attests to the benefits that this Black Establishment has garnered upon our community since taking over the institutions.  Instead their only value is that they have "saved us" from the clutches of the Klan.

King makers and Race warlords like Joe Reed will continue to preside over Black grievances as long as the Black community development activism is focused upon "fighting against White Supremacy" - real and imagined instead of building up "community competency" and "cultural consciousness".   The goal being to have the force of forward propulsion that emanates from our "directed actions" being more powerful than the countervailing forces that attempt to push against us.

If the logic goes that individuals who don't hold "Black Positions" are counter to our interests than shouldn't we, at some point, take a step back and EVALUATE the "Black Positions" for their efficacy? Otherwise we might be casting aside those who believe that the Earth is round as we retain our "Flat Earth Society" values.

In my view the notion that today's Black community is in an "inferiorized state" due to the damage of slavery/Jim Crow and thus our development rests in "The Fight" rather than the investment in better "Human Resource Management" methodologies is itself NON-WHITE WHITE SUPREMACIST in nature.   Such a though is rooted into the notion that - Regardless of what the Black man does - the White man is more powerful and thus we need the overarching force of pervasive government to protect us and redistribute resources our way.

Ultimately Joe Reed and others who think like him are "Integrationalist".  NOT BECAUSE they believe that in America all people should have a right to equal opportunity but instead and in balance because, per their conditioning - the worst possible scenario for the Black man to be in - is ALL ALONE, WITH CONTROL OVER ALL OF THE INSTITUTIONS.

A "STRUGGLE" needs an opposing force to push against, lest it fall on its face.

An "ORGANIC COMPETENCY DEVELOPMENT MOVEMENT" asks to be left alone so that its God given talents and management controls can be allowed to show their efficacy and veracity.
