In traditional Black political and ideological discourse we would normally hear the following as part of the indictment against society:
"If these maps showed this number of WHITE FOLKS being murdered there would be mass outrage and the government would be forced to respond to the situation."
In the complex world of Black political and ideological discourse when the KILLER IS BLACK, the pursuit of "justice at any cost" on behalf of the VICTIM becomes far more complicated.
There will be no resolute calls to have the government come in and protect the community from the terror of those who are killing Black people. The killers themselves have gestated within this same community. The introduction of aggressive policing would be like chemotherapy. While it does take out the malignant tumor - it also does a lot of damage to the structural tissues of the body that we seek to protect.
Clearly the police alone cannot fix this problem.
With Baltimore being headquarters of the prestigious NAACP - how is this allowed to happen? What is causing them to be so silent on this matter?
Where are the Black Community Activists who tell us that the "Black community knows who has our best interests in mind and will support them in this effort"?
One must finally ask - "Is the wanton murder of Black people - ABSENT the presence of a murderer who's 'profile' can be used to pursue a larger goal, can these organizations come together and provide HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT necessary to mitigate this malignancy which is sucking the life out of the community body ?
