Pro-Public Transit System/Union Protesters Protest Against "The Federal Government"

This protest on behalf of public transportation needs to be noted based upon the rhetoric and the focus of the attack.

Note that in the world of "Obama" when Progressive and Union forces protest against the actions of "this administration" they attack "The Federal Government". Score this as yet another point of compromise that entities with dual purposes have.

It takes no bit of imagination to see that if these protests were happening 3 years ago they would be attacking "The Bush Administration". They would be demanding that the Democratic congress lean upon the Bush Administration and make them "do the right thing" on behalf of the working poor and the students seeking to improve themselves as they utilize public transportation.

Since they are "Obama's Base" and since the US Congress is favorably arrayed - their attacks are made a little less granular: "The Federal Government" instead of "The Obama Administration". They indeed have a "Friend in the White House", they merely need to coax him along a bit, careful not to piss him off as they pursue their permanent interests.

Add the fact that Jesse Jackson was the featured speaker at this event and we all know that he no longer is after Obama's "nuts" after that last episode.

Add this to my previous observations that activist groups are most effective when they have an adversarial administration who is "standing in their way" to work against. When there is a friend they have to ponder their disposition.
