I am saddened to see that Chris Evans has been caught up in the scandal at Georgia Tech.
Recall a few months ago that I had reported upon my visit to Tech where I noted the abundance of Indian/Pakistani engineering students? Well Chris Evans was one of the few "Black people" that was in the room. He was the lab director. I talk with him every time they have a public forum where they show the results of their technology competitions involving the students. These students are producing the communications tools that the public will be using in the next 5 years or so.
Mr Evans has a high profile position. While the suspension does not necessarily indicate guilt, it does indeed greatly tarnish the reputation of Mr Evans and the others.

Chris Evans is and was a very shady character. Guess no one saw the flags.
The first commenter above is right about the character but wrong about no one seeing the flaws. There were plenty who saw the flaws but few with the ability to effect change. Until now that is . . . goes to show that eventually everyone reaps what they sew.
Funny how everyone can see things from the outside and be fine when things are going good and you're making money.. But when everyone is in turmoil, everyone has a finger to point... People make mistakes... Granted money may have been missalocatted and punishment shall be served but, give the man a break! All I say is this...... "Catch on fire and people will come for miles to watch you burn"
God Bless all of you. I truly mean that. Chris Evans is the best man you will ever know. The problem is you don't know him, yet you feel fit to judge. It is only right that you post your comment anonymously that way you do not have to be accountable. I am disgusted by this entire article and its funny how the "black community" who loves to support and trumpet and take credit for great actions will, without fact one, turn their back on a great and self made God Fearing, Family loving, supportive man. The devil is a liar and I hope your satisfied with helping him do his work by beating down a great man. I'm so close to back sliding I will end it here. I have had several casual conversations with the man over a few years and, based on what I know of him - I believe him to be a thoughtful man.
I am not attempting to make any sort of character judgment beyond my personal disappointment that "one of the few brothers in the joint" and he is caught up in this mess.
I agree with ACE.. Although this may have been a business ordeal.. I knew Chris Evans too be a very helpful individual in my community beyond his career.. Its a shame that people have to come on here and bash someone when they are down.. GET A LIFE!... Beyond this TRASH BLOG, I will continue to support him and his family because I know the true character of this man. My comment was deleted earlier by the "author" supposedly... I don't know how but, I want my comment to be made non-anonymous... Along with the world of hate that comes with this blog.. I guaruntee you will find a handful of people that will back Chris Evans up and said that he made an impact in their lives. Although I have no insight on the scandal.. including evidence..the whole 9.. I do know Chris Evans to be a good person at heart!!

You surely are confused.
1) I have not once "bashed" Chris Evans. I told of my positive conversations with him in person and my sorry that he got caught up in the situation. He, like Damon Evans are Black males that had relatively high profile positions. (Of course Evans more so)
2) I have not deleted your comments. If you are not posting a spam message trying to sell something you are unlikely to get deleted by me. It sounds like you have issues with Google's registration system.
3) As far as this being a "Hate Blog" it is more than likely that you are protective of leftist bias and you can't tolerate a Black person who swims with the current.

It is to a press release exonerating my father, Chris Evans, of the charges that he was falsely accused of in relation to Ga Tech Malfeasance. You chose to post and comment on this article without the facts or any findings of guilt and you also provided a negative platform for your other followers to do the same calling my father a shady character among other things. I know hope that you will admit you were wrong and to post the truth. I guarantee the responses from your bloggers and gossips will not be as quick to rally behind a story of innocence as they were to speak negatively and insult my father without fact one previously. Exactly...you expressed your DISAPPOINTMENT for him "getting caught up in" something that was not in his control and for accuasations that are proven to be false. I bet you were also one of the people who were DISAPPOINTED to hear of the news that Barack Obama wasn't an American citizen when that story broke as well, huh lol?...funny..Your lack of being able to prove anything and your lack of knowledge about the subject didn't stop you from expressing said DISAPPOINTMENT did it?...and creating a medium for others to spread falsehoods and work to try and tarnish a good man's name. Furthermore, who are you supposed to be anyway to be disappointed in my Father? I suggest you get facts in the future before commenting or expressing your DISAPPOINTMENT. If you feel you have done nothing wrong then that's good for you. Didn't expect someone like you to apologize or to do the right thing anyway.
