The Cost To Black America For Accepting Progressive-Fundamentalist Talking Points

Authors link influx of Hispanic workers, increase in violence among African-Americans

Question: Which of these scenarios have more traction in explaining the present unacceptably high unemployment rates among Black people?

  1. A White male with a criminal record has a better chance of getting a job than does a Black man with a college degree - proving that racism is our biggest obstacle
  2. A study out of LSU documents that Black Americans are being displaced at the unskilled labor rung by illegal immigration

As various national issues blow up into full confrontation I am amazed at the talking points that are crafted by left and right as a means of defending their interests.

Of course when it comes to "Illegal Immigration" the masks have been ripped off on both sides.

Indictments are being rendered regarding racism as a motivation and about potential "civil rights violations".

The issue of race is intractable to the conflict at hand.  The fact is that we have a flow of people that are violating our southern  border and the nations that they are coming from are populated mostly with Mestizos.  The outrage is circular in nature.  "They are cracking down on a particular racial group!!!  That's RACIST".  The fact is that these are the people who are flowing into our nation in an unchecked manner.

The real question that is up to debate is about our nation's population size.  Either we are going to regulate this point or we have open borders, unable to control our head count.

I get the sense that some people attempt to stand on their moral high ground.  They figure that they are living through the modern day "Fugitive Slave Law" where legislation gives the green light to leave no rock unturned to find an alien fugitive.  I will not be surprised to see the National Action Network set up a series of "safe houses" by which illegal immigrants can hide in Arizona as they matriculate up to San Francisco.

As a person who recently had drama with my US passport and then was interrogated by US Customs upon my return from Cuba - it is nothing short of fraudulent to see that while our official ports of entry are tightly regulated but our southern border is a sieve.

Moving The Black Progressive Fundamentalist Off Of His Moral High Ground

As with so many other factoids that would require a bit of "self-indictment" if they reported upon it - the news of the LSU study about the impact of illegal immigration upon Black workers is going to be buried by the media sources that are consumed by Black Americans.

The benefit of retaining the moral high ground is that your conscious remains clear.  You have never discriminated against anyone, instead choosing to up hold the universal dignity of your fellow man.

What happens when you become the "establishment" in an increasing number of areas?  Your viewpoints become the policies that dominate an area.  Your policies begin to forge the results that you ultimately have to live with.   At some point in this cycle your claims where someone else has caused you harm and thus rendered the unfavorable results lose their credibility.

In my view our community has reached this point.

Sadly we have certain ideologues and bigots who stick to their guns even when the clear proof shows that their tolerances do as much harm as an uncapped wildcat oil well at the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico.

There needs to be a greater commitment toward DIRECTED OUTCOMES than ideological purity.  These outcomes only come from MANAGEMENT of the resources in question.  In our case HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.

Management can only occur once you affix your scope upon the dimensions of the problem set.  For example if you want to develop an award winning garden you rope off a plot of land and you tend to it.  The best way to insure that you will lose at your effort is to resist roping off any land and instead you keep tilling because after successfully turning over the dirt of a certain quantity you look up and see more land in front of you that has yet to be tilled.  This is what "boil the ocean" activism is.  It allows the purveyor to always feel needed.  All the while the land that was first tilled has now overgrown with weeds.  They dirt patted flat because of the foot traffic from deer, squirrels, birds and the whipping of the wind and rain.

Racism is a hatred for other races. Enforcing immigration laws on our southern border is akin to enforcing laws in a black community that makes it a crime to steal and break an entering.

I really hope officials in Az and other states continue in their pursuit to finally enforce the laws that our federal government wouldn't.

Fear not Diane - they will one day experience the pain of their choices but, sadly, they will be blaming someone else for it.

Jim Crow denied jobs to Black people in protection of "White Jobs".
Illegal immigration is documented as having a deleterious impact upon Black workers.
