You see - prior to Thursday - Darleen Click was a "Nobody" to Black America.
Today, after publishing a cartoon she now sits atop the conscious minds of a growing number of Black people. She, it seems, is their "Useful Idiot" who provides them with cover as they promote the notion that: "The primary threat to the Black Community today is the White racist......who displays his hatred through his drawings and spittle that was put upon a Black US Representative as he shouted out words".
I assure you that over the next few weeks that Darleen Click will receive far more coverage upon various Black themed blogs than will the news that the Black unemployment rate ROSE from 15.8% up to 16.5% in the month of March.
You have to understand the way things work in the debates WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. I am guilty of "not confronting the WHITE MAN when he disrespects us". If I am going to take THIS assault upon Barack Obama the Black president then there is NOTHING that I am going to stand up for in the defense of my people and our dignity.
This is how the "Black loyalty" test is arraigned.
Sorry - I will just have to fail. it.
I do have one question:
What are the qualifications for any WHITE PERSON in America to do something that promotes him or her as the #1 threat to Black America that he/she consumes our collective interests?
- Does he have to hold an elective seat with the POWER to oppress Black people?
- Does she have to be the "green lighter" in a large media company?
- Does he have to be a police officer who has been "deputized" to uphold the law, using violence against Black people if necessary?
- Does she have to be the president of a large bank which has 'tricked' Black people into signing Subprime loans?
NOPE.
The key qualification?
Just a CREDIT CARD and a COMPUTER is all you need to rush to the top of the consciousness.
Next you use your artistic skills to draw a cartoon.
Now please understand - If you think that the content of your "artistic expression" is going to receive popularity merely due to its offensiveness - you are wrong. Offensiveness alone is not the triggering mechanism. There is "offensive art" released every Tuesday as record companies have their album releases that appear in "Best Buy", "Wal-Mart" and "iTunes".
If you want the incarnations from your mind to have the maximum effect you can't just target what Black people SAY is offensive to them - thus the "Hip Hop Voice Of The Street Pirate" art would be dinged for having the word "Nigger" laced throughout - queued up for White people all over the world to lipsync the word.
No - the sure shot means of getting recognized is by attacking the closest thing to the "Pope" that Black people have - President Barack H. Obama.
When it comes to Obama the hidden messages that fly by in these other art forms that attack sacred cows in our general society don't get past those who live their lives as Black people vicariously through Obama. When you do choose to deal with these scurrilous images and messages, rest assure, you do more to cause Black people to remember that we are merely a few short decades beyond Selma, St. Augustine, Orangeburg
Ms Click - you have successfully done something that my obscure blog has failed to do. I get about 400 hits per day as I attempt to ensnare the conscious attention of Black people.
Why not put yourself to better use. Instead of using such salacious images against President Obama - for your own purposes put a link on your blog site to http://www.withintheblackcommunity.blogspot.com
You see after they get angry with you and see that these are merely hollow emotions FROM WHICH some external entities will benefit from - they can come over to this blog site and learn from a person that has their behavior, thought patterns and reactions perfectly scripted.
