I feel obliged to articulate my perspective after watching the 12 noon news in Atlanta and hearing news of yet another mass murder of Black people somewhere in the country.
The "Black Community" did not pull the trigger of the gun that murdered these 4 people.
I am NOT making gratuitous use of this family's tragedy to score a personal political or ideological point.
What I am doing is pointing out the antics of what those who ARE executing such an agenda as they ignore that which is killing our people and inflate what they see as POLITICAL/IDEOLOGICAL threats to our community.
The Bloody Summer Of 2010 Is Upon Us
It is only April. Yes the trees and flowers are blooming. It appears that we are on track for yet another year in which Black people are victims of wanton murder. In Metro Atlanta alone - a Black person is murdered every 1.3 days on average.
WE ARE SAID TO BE "PROGRESSING" AS A PEOPLE THOUGH.
This is largely based on the advancements that have been made in the "American Political Domain".
While we largely dismiss most of these deadly incidents as mere "residue" of domestic violence or the street crimes that are merely 'background static' the sad truth is that, in aggregate - the Black community's murder rate outdistances that of all other races of people in America.
In the "boil the ocean" strategy of our present leadership - these murder numbers will improve once their POLITICAL/IDEOLOGICAL victory is won. Once Blacks are no longer discounted and oppressed - WE will stop hating each other and thus won't look to kill each other. Let's all stay united and not ask QUESTIONS.
When do you ask for your EARNEST MONEY?
As Spike Lee says: "We have a Black President right now........we can't keep doing this".
The only problem is that such admonitions should not be mistaken as Human Resource Management Constructs. Instead you are seeking to make "racially conscious" draws upon a group of people - at least some of whom HAVE NO SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS let alone racial consciousness.
I predict that hundreds and hundreds of Black people will be murdered this summer. This is the time period in which the most tick marks are registered on our national average of 7,000 Blacks murdered each year.
Now keep in mind some people have mastered the ability to turn "an improvement of unacceptably bad news" into a "good news" story. This takes the form of "The Black murder rate is declining. This shows that as we get more of our people into power, as Democrats, our fortunes are improving".

Sorry - The murder rates that are now at a "improved" level are still unacceptably high. This is a result of the abandonment of the "Community Cultural Consciousness and Competency Development Domain" NOT an increase in power in the "American Political Domain". Those young street pirates seen in the video from Detroit that I posted yesterday is proof of untethered potential, waiting to mix it up with another pirate brigade that has similarly vacuous intentions.
I struggle to understand how the same people who demand from this amorphous force called "America" the rights and respect for human life when the biggest indictment against those who wonder out loud about their own justice - can't seem to get those who they purport to be working on behalf of to extend this same respect.
