More than likely this man was a licensed dentist in his home country. After having immigrated to America - he saw a need among the people and he set up shop, offering affordable services to those who likely had no health care.
What this shows more than anything else is that we Americans are creatures of our own environment and the indoctrination to the 'standard of living' that we are acclimated to. Some of us would rather sit without access to health or dental care rather than make use of someone who the government didn't officially sanction.
This dentist had an x-ray machine, applied braces, pulled teeth. Yet in the mind of some Americans only a license as applied by the government qualifies a person to operate upon your body.
I am not arguing that people should go out and violate the law. I also believe that such regulation is of value. My point is that when the day comes in which the scheme that we have erected comes tumbling down - people like this dentist who did what he did because there was a need and he had the qualifications to do so will be worth more than the individuals who decided to remain within the confines of the "Matrix".
If there are any patients who have been harmed by this man - I would like to see them.
