Keep in mind that Mr Wickham, like the large majority of other members of the Black Establishment press did everything possible to have their machine and ideology extended into the White House in the form of Barack Obama. What is the meaning of this title?
- If Obama does not focus more on Black joblessness......he won't garner enough support from the Black voter to win?
- IF Obama does not focus more on Black joblessness.....I as a person who is focused upon the Permanent Interests of the Black Community - will use my PEN to make sure that Obama does not win again, as we focus on some other option that proves more supportive of our interests?
I will allow you to choose the option that sits best with you.
As for me - the answer is clear.
From The Article:
But instead of going to Charlotte to proclaim this jobs growth, the president should have gone to Harlem to explain why black workers are being left behind.
While the unemployment rate for white men dropped for the fifth straight month in March to 8.9 percent, it hit 19 percent for black men. That's a sizeable 1.2 percentage point jump in a single month. During this same time, unemployment for black women also grew from 12.1 percent to 12.4 percent, even as the jobless rate for white women held fast at 7.3 percent.
None of this seemed to register with Christina Romer. She offered this explanation for the conundrum of more people getting jobs while the unemployment rate stayed the same: "This stability reflects roughly proportional rises in the labor force and employment."
Left unsaid is this hard truth: The unemployment rate for blacks is trending up, while for whites it is trending down. This harsh reality won't change as long as the Obama administration thinks its "rising tide lifts all boats" approach to recovery is all that's needed to solve the workplace problems of blacks.
The truth is that this article and the remedy proposed by Mr Wickham provides yet another opportunity to put the assumptions and preferences help by the Black Establishment on trial for inspection.
Note the word "Left Behind" is used in the article. Left in is't ambiguous form we assume that the presence of sustained racism is the cause for the gap between White and Black. This claim gives rise to the type of politics that the progressives prefer. In the face of injury caused by a systematic misallocation of resources based on RACE - they need to be empowered so that a more "fair" result might be had. Please my oft used phrase "Their infinite universe has doubled back upon itself". It is most appropriate here.
With a president that is not only "favorable" but also a "Black guy" in place they are not going to attack him despite seeing results that look quite familiar. They will push upon him to make "targeted investments" where suffering communities receiving the bulk of the government aid because this is where the greatest need resides.
We must note that these same insiders will never step back and ask the fundamental question "Is my community's present state part and parcel of anything that is inherent to the prevailing beliefs that are present amongst the inhabitants of the community? Or is it all RACISM - the thoughts of those who are on the outside, bearing down upon those who are within the inside"?
The truth is that THERE IS NO CONSEQUENCE which will be put upon those who take the "Racism Chasing" route. Higher Black unemployment does not translate into their dismissal from office. After all they are "trying harder", struggling to make sure that our community receives its "fair share", in line with the needs that are present.
It is clear to me that the POWER to "Self-Diagnose" that which ails our community must be stripped away by those who are also empowered to "Self-Prescribe" our solutions. The "insider trading" effect will aways be present otherwise.
This harsh reality won't change as long as the Obama administration thinks its "rising tide lifts all boats" approach to recovery is all that's needed to solve the workplace problems of blacks.
The real question for Mr Wickham is: What will he and others who are in the Black Establishment Press do to force Obama to change his "rising tide lifts all boats" theory? What is the cost to Obama if they don't change?
