Walton County Georgia - Crime Scene: Moore's Ford Bridge- 4 Black people where killed. In the year 2010 this news would not be anything beyond the norm of a mass killing event that happens nearly every quarter.
As about 100 "civil rights leaders" gathered at the scene of the crime just the other day they made it known: "The memory of these 4 Blacks who were killed at this location will never be laid to rest until their killers are found".
The key distinguishing feature of this particular heinous crime is that it was not committed in the year 2010. Instead it was done in 2046. This was some 64 years ago. This crime scene is also made special for the fact that Dr Martin Luther King Jr was obviously one of those who participated in the annual event. In 1968, the year of his death - he had planned to attend what would have been the 22nd anniversary of this killing of 4 Black people.

As a "Crime and Punishment" man I agree that no killer should ever go unpunished, sleeping comfortably as if he has gotten away with the crime. There is still a bounty out for the killers head, some 64 years later - there has been no takers.
My commitment with bringing killers to justice does not afford me the inclination to stack rank killers based on some attribute that others agree is more worth for dogged pursuit than others.
I strongly suspect that since these protesters on the bridge in a county a few counties away from Atlanta have no doubt drove past several murder scenes which remain unsolved - the primary draw to this particular murder scene is the RITUALISTIC IMPACT. A modern day "club reunion" among friends who are bound together by some powerful sentiments. These sentiments are so entrenched that they are motivated to congregate as a show of force against whom ever they stand against.
Time is a valuable resource.
When I put forth modern day "lynchings" of Black people some who read my work believe that I am "taunting" Black people. They suggest that I am saying "You Blacks should not talk about other people killing you until you stop killing yourselves".
This is a preposterous charge.
My view is that if a murder of a Black person is heinous - let it be equally heinous, without the calculus of determining that his KILLER defines the value of the life of this now dead Black person.
It is my view, first of all, that these "Civil Rights Pharisees" have a right to congregate at will. I will doggedly defend their right to do so. It is when they seek CREDIBILITY from me as to their mission that I will evaluate their efforts with respect to know threats of today against our community.
If our common goal is to craft an accurate model of the world around us so that we might allocate our limited resources most appropriately then it is my view that these "Civil Rights Pharisees" are failing to address these prima facie threats to our community as they instead go after external threats that have the stronger effect of "unifying Black people" against our long time enemy - not risking the internal descension that often comes along with point out people who are internal to your group.
