The Progressive Globalization Consumer

When I frame the challenges of the faced by the artificial floor put upon the American labor market I use the term "Consumer of Labor" instead of "employer".  This assists the reader in more fully understanding the relationship between the worker, who is ultimately "selling" his skills and labor services for some agreed upon price and the "purchaser" of these services as a means to complete some predefined work flow.  Of course it goes without saying that behind the "unit of labor" is a human being and thus they have more rights than does a "widget".  At the same time I find that those who I am in a constant ideological battle of ideas with seek to abstract this point by creating fake "rights" that the "consumer of labor" is bound to recognized.  Those who debate with this line often fail to enumerate the fact that indeed there is a human being who is making decisions as a consumer of labor as well.  There is no infinite resource pool to draw upon, the proverbial "deep pockets" who will not miss the value of one stolen item off of the store shelf.

The bulk of the destructive results that are seen surrounding their ability to sustain an employment market where they are in control over government and organized "sellers of labor", battling the "consumers of labor"  are based upon their fundamental misunderstanding of such a market place.

I Bought My Drugs From Canada Over The Internet

This point was underscored as I read testimony from an "Obamacare" supporter as he talked about the drug racket that is the case inside America.  He told of how he was able to order a presciption drug from a Canadian based pharamacy at a fraction of the price that he was paying in America.

The point that few over his head is that HE just did what he and others attack American corporate "consumers of labor" for doing.

In the wake of facing market forces in America that set an artificial price floor that the "consumer" must purchase the good in question - both he and those who he is critical of choose to reach outside of the local market and into a different market where he could shop at more favorable terms.

I am not hating on him.  This is what a person or entity who is weighing their own interests and have the connection (transportation and communications) into these other markets is prone to do.  My only challenge to him is to ask "Why is it that only one of you is considered 'EVIL'?"

In fact I welcome the intellectual discussion.  This merely proves what I have been saying all along - the propensity of those who speak from the "labor monopoly" side and who make use of the government to establish an artificially high price floor that the private party on the other side of the negotiating table is bound to accept are also the very same people who run from their complicity in the entity's choice to vacate to other markets.

I now need to side track and preemptively address some known talking points that my words above would trigger:

  1. "So CS why don't you just bring back SLAVERY?  This is the perfect system where the hourly unit labor cost is ZERO.".   RESPONSE:  This is a foolish rebuttal.  Slavery is unconstitutional per this nation's choice to recognize and enforce the human rights of all of our 'Equal Human Beings'.  Our past slavery forced those with power to lie to themselves, perverting God's creation into a lesser human being in order to justify his treatment as a 'beast of burden' despite having abundant facts that prove the contrary.  When man can mate with a horse and produce an offspring then we can talk about 'lesser humans' as created by God.
  2. "They didn't exit America because Labor Unions and Government jacked up the prices....they moved because they are GREEDY and they were no longer allowed to EXPLOIT workers and pollute the environment."    RESPONSE:  I love debating with people who hold the 'moral high ground'.  They have never willingly stepped on an ant or ever paid a man less than what they have ultimately profited from he finished product that he helped them make.  The point that they never understand is that they have never OWNED A VIABLE ENTITY which would still be in business after a period of time where their ideological bigotries were the key forces bearing down upon and sustaining their businesses.   Ironically their strongest power bases are also the places in America where their labor interests have been assailed.  This is because while they "won" the battle to implement their ideological preferences - they lost because more of the "laborers" in these places are merely people who are now seeking desperately the opportunity to have their labor "exploited" for a salary.

ECONOMIC ABSTRACTION

The common thread that one will notice when conversing with a person who has this sort of economic ideological viewpoint is that just as much as they seek to abstract the question of the unit "value add" made by a worker to an employers production process and thus the pay that they receive, is that they make use of the government as a means of abstracting the "standard of living" that they demand from the key question of "what have you contributed so that you might LIVE at this standard that you seek"?

When (their type of...) RIGHTS are created the mandate is shifted to the government to uphold their end of the bargain lest the "Constitution" be violated.  We all know of "fiat currency" in which, unlike gold it has no intrinsic value other than the faith invested within it.  They threaten to create a "fiat constitution".

In my estimation the people of Laos, Chad or Guatemala merely need to pull out a piece of paper and will themselves the RIGHT to a "Universal Salary", "Universal Health Care", "Universal Education".  It is written and thus it is so.

Of course we all know that this mandate is not worth the paper that it is written upon.  Only the SYSTEM that orders the HUMAN RESOURCES upon which the forces apply will be able to take the vision that is written on this mere piece of paper and "operationalize it".  ("Operationalize" is a term that I have learned as a "Corporate Negro".  :-)   )

CONNECTING THE DOTS

Thus, it stands to reason, that the granting of a new "federal entitlement" to you where YOU are not able to identify any INCREASED COMPETENCY that YOU have brought to the table in order to afford you the privilege to live at this INCREASED STANDARD OF LIVING is, in truth - NOT AN ORGANIC INCREASE IN YOUR CAPACITY TO DELIVER WHAT YOU DESIRE THROUGH YOUR HUMAN CAPITAL THAT YOU CONTROL...........

It is merely an ABSTRACTION that you are afforded via your presence inside the proverbial "Belly Of the Beast" that you scorn.

Again - take your same "rights" document, 1,500 pages of them, exit the SYSTEM, going to a desert island and attempt to "rinse and repeat".   By my estimation you will be eating the paper pulp upon which the documents are written upon as your main source of nutrients in about 3 days.

Can a people who can't point to how their growth in power in the "American Political Domain"; their new found control over their schools and thus their children's consciousness; their control over their local economies where the former SLAVE now has control over the terms by which he will offer his LABOR into the market for and at what price - prove that they have achieved any advancement in the "Community Cultural Consciousness and Competency Development Domain"?

From where I stand - they would be in far better shape had they REJECTED the lifestyle above which their own ORGANIC efforts afford them to live.  At least if they were to tie their desire for a particular standard with their "HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT COMPETENCIES".........when the inevitable fall of the "fiat economy" does happen - they will have already been executing the internal processes in their community by which their standard of living has been derived.

Those who choose to live the life of abstraction will find themselves in the same predicament as a nappy headed woman who wore a weave yet her supply of hair from India is no longer available as her stylist has shutdown.   In both cases the "fake front" shown to the rest of the world will have been exposed.
