The Plight Of The 10 American "Kidnappers" Of 33 Haitian Kids

Haitian P.M.: Americans 'Knew What They Were Doing Was Wrong'

For me "context" is everything.  I will render my final opinion once I learn more.

The key questions which will sway my decision are as follows:

  1. Did these Baptist missionaries take and/or dupe these Haitian children from their parents?
  2. Did they execute due diligence in attempting to locate the parents and obtain sufficient permission to take these children to a "better place"?
  3. Does this group have a history of "kidnapping children" absent the catastrophic conditions in Haiti?
  4. Did they have detailed plans which they can show regarding their destination in the Dominican Republic and a facility to which they were taking these children to?
  5. Were they planning to reunite these children with their parents upon the reconstruction of Haiti?
