Jesse Lee Peterson

City Journal: Jesse Lee Peterson versus the “black experience”

As I told Jesse Lee Peterson on a radio call in program - He needs to come out of the shadows as a function of his battle against the exploits of Jesse Jackson and instead define his own agenda and efforts.

I wish that Peterson was more clear in his point.  He often opens himself up to attack from those who have a low threshold to attack countervailing messages.  This even as hailstones pound them in the face from the path to nowhere that they are following.  Still we must ask these people: Since Peterson has no elective power and also little following within our community - WHY does he receive so much press from you and your favored media sources?  WHY do the people who DO HAVE POWER yet who are complicit with your ideological view points receive such little scrutiny by comparison?  It appears that as long as they echo your grievances that they can avoid being attacked by many of you despite their seat of influence.  A seat that Rev Peterson and others do not occupy.

Still this man's microphone appears to have more POWER than do the studio mics used by the various "Hip Hop Voice Of The Street Pirates" who's words don't elicit the same responses from many within the Black community despite being far more acerbic than what Peterson says.
