"With vision that has been distorted by the kaleidoscopic agenda of it  leadership - a people perish".  

To our own detriment - the Black community is more ideologically and politically bound than any other group of people in America. Of course I can only say this as a Black man who has an inside view of our condition.  As a Black man who observes the deadly residue that is left over by the intense allegiance that my people have to a platform of thoughts which can't be justified based on the RESULTS that are rendered as a output of this management theory of the eco-system within which we exist.

There is a grand battle going on before our eyes.  One theory says that all that is negative that happens to Black Americans is the consequence of RACISM and CAPITALISM in the auspices of "The United States of America" and "White Supremacy" that wills to destroy us.  Both have caused our people to lose our cultural footing.  The problems are a manifestation of the molestation what we have suffered as a people.

The funding for "AIDS Defense" that these two articles linked to above is an expression of the type of "re-pair-ation" that those who follow this theory have enumerated as the essential first steps for America to PROVE that it has sufficient contrition for the deeds that it has done in the past.  It stands to reason that the force that has causes us to act in destructive ways should also fund the "clean up" of the "oil spill" that is continuously flowing from the well that has been uncapped.  So the reasoning goes.

Any attempts to MANAGE the "output" from this well that spews out new instances of itself (human beings), regenerating and expanding its presence, with the hopes of placing INTRINSIC correction for these progeny upon the BACKS OF THOSE WHO CREATE THEM AND WILL BENEFIT FROM THE CORRECTION is called "Blame The Victim".

This merely has a stultifying effective upon the task of resolving the issues at hand.  I have previously called this "Defending the status quo WITHIN the Black community".  From which was derived the name of this blog.

The Competing Theory of Conservator-ship

Even though I believed that I had articulately laid out the concept of "conservator-ship" during a Super Bowl party, receiving compliments from a few known "progressives", the woman who's comments first provoked my statement still did not get it at the end of the debate.  She asked out loud "Can you tell me what exactly Black people have to CONSERVE?".   After detailing it out for her she still said "I still don't understand what we need to conserve".

My statement about "conservator-ship" was as follow:

We can all agree that there are certain processes by which Black people or any other people can achieve a heightened chance of success in education, economics, health outcomes and public safety IF they follow a certain prescription.

OUR JOB AS A CIVILIZED PEOPLE is to define our permanent interests and then study our behavior and then identify the processes by which we can achieve this end.

After identifying these BEST PRACTICES the job of the CONSERVATOR is to:

1. Document these Processes
2. Propagate these Processes for understanding by Adults
3. Inculcate these Processes within the Children
4. MANAGE the Process of the retention of the integrity of and the dissemination of these Best Practices

I could not have been more clear to the people who "got it".  When there is a "lack of understanding" it is not always the fault of the originator.  There also needs to be a willingness of open-mindedness in the receiver of a new concept for understanding to take place.  I cannot place myself in a position where I will endlessly chase after the approval of others, especially if they have a vested interests of putting fingers in their own ears - because it would be uncivilized to cup their hands over MY mouth.

Some people like to transact the "offenses" of their enemies in a debate.

I prefer to "define the rule - the framework" by which all who come should be bound to.

This is not ALL ABOUT ME.   I did not "create" this framework any more than someone could claim to have "invented" calculus.  These are 100% "open source" thoughts.  I am hoping that they are stolen and integrated into other people's understanding.

The Crisis Of The Exchange Of Body Fluid Within The Black Community

The words in the two articles above are not surprising to me.  The Black community has accepted "Wrap It Up" as its operating mandate.  As the theory goes if we can erect a "prophylactic" which abstracts our community from the consequences of its behavior then we can mitigate the results.  Thus there is more focus upon sequestering body fluid than upon using CULTURAL STRICTURES to "slow one's role".   

Please dispense of any assumption that you might have that I am CASTING JUDGMENT.   The AIDS virus DOES NOT JUDGE!!!   It attacks blood cells and the immune system of a host.  It does not CARE what the mindset of the host is.  It makes use of the various pathways by which it can enter one's blood stream as its attack vector.

In a recent post I talked about the "dis-integration" of the human being down into his piece parts.  Indeed the virus or the sperm cell is an instinctive entity.  It is going to do what it is going to do.  It is the perfect example of NON-JUDGMENTALISM.  I cannot assume that an EQUAL HUMAN BEING which is a body of "systems" that are created to perform a certain function (renal, cardio-vascular, digestive) can be degraded to operate at a base level where his own instincts for selfish pleasures trump his desire to stay alive by enumerating the risks that threaten him.

While I won't use this opportunity to promote the rote use of "cultural enforcements" as the solution to all that ails us - they are merely the mirror extreme of the assumption that "pills/devices/pamphlets and devices" can do to isolate an EQUAL HUMAN BEING from his own actions.

My frustration with the forces that impact my people's behavior is that in their own IDEOLOGICAL FUNDAMENTALISM - they outsource the key responsibility that we have to MANAGE OUR OWN HUMAN RESOURCES.   

Isn't THIS the function of the CULTURE that you say has been shattered?

Every single culture around the world - including African ones that you covet from the long past were CREATED over time in response to some need.   Failing to define and enforce these cultural rules means a sure death to the people.

The community hunting of our people was not done because the people from 700 years ago had a greater genetic disposition to execute cooperative work and then share the proceeds.  It was done because the game that they were pursuing were much faster than the human beings and his tools at the time.  Only a coordinated effort from the males would have them to not starve to death.  The females collected the staples of vegetation because the hunts failed more often than they succeeded.   I didn't sleep through every one of those college level anthropology lectures.  

What Type Of Culture Are You Crafting?

It stands to reason that we indeed have a "culture" in the Black community today.  The most important handoff of culture exists between parent/community adults and the child.  The adult exposes the world to the child and regulates the behavior of the child's peers.

The more accurate statement for today is - What consciousness is influencing the changes in our cultural enforcements that we as a FREE AND EQUAL PEOPLE might achieve the more favorable outcomes that we seek?

The "Grim Reaper" who is swinging his "dark seth" upon our people's jugular vein operates at the cellular level today.

Those who seek to perform  intricate displays of precision movements in their "war dance" in which seek to envelop the mechanics of how these attack vectors are exploited into intelligent human beings without building up the consciousness of these people and giving them PURPOSE which THEY THEMSELVES must execute upon are little different than the "Witch Doctors" or "Apothecaries" which operated during the "Dark Ages".  These were cultural accouterments that were destroyed because they did not withstand the interrogation of science and reasoning.

How many more Black people will need to die in the communities that we as FREE BLACK PEOPLE manage before a more scientific method is adopted, replacing the one that prefers ideological unity and loyalty over results?
