The "Better For The 10 Guilty Men Go Free" Theory On Trial - The Atlanta University Center Murder Trial Begins

Let me open up by saying - I have the utmost empathy for the family of Jasmine Lynne.
They sent their daughter to Spelman College to prepare her for the rest of her life.
She returned home in a casket, having been murdered on campus.
I have no intent to use her death for partisan political gain.

Instead this video shows the painful truth that is involved in the "life or death" decisions that must be made by the "juries of our peers".

Though I have occasional problems with the antics of defense attorneys, I respect their responsibility to render the must substantial defense for their clients.

From the first day of testimony we get a clear picture that "inconsistencies" and "technicalities" will be thrown up as a means of complicating the choices that the jury has to render.

This specific trial is critical because it is yet another occurrence of the "confluence of interests" that often nullify certain activists. In this case we have:

  • A Black college student with her life in front of her - Her life snatched away from her.
  • A young Black male college student who's defense has thrown up some substantive questions as to his client's guilt
In summary there is no clear "Good Guy/Bad Guy" scenario where racists/corporations/Republicans/the US Government can be used by those who are so inclined - to formulate their position on the matter.

The defense is attempting to pin the shooting on a prosecution witness.
Only one of them could have pulled the trigger.
The dead body is the primary evidence that the trigger was pulled.
