The hate filled Black Progressive-Fundamentalist swam of attack ants are on the march once again. In their view the "700 Club" cast member Kristi Watts made her second mistake recently. The first mistake, in the minds of the Black Progressive-Bigots is that she,a Black woman, dared to set foot in the sound studio in which the "700 Club" is produced and Rev Pat Robertson is a fixture. Strike one.
The second and more unforgivable mistake is that she stood silent as Rev Robertson dared to state that Haiti made a "deal with the devil" back in the 1700's as it struggled for independence against the brutal French colonizers of the land. Robertson was equating "VooDoo" with devil worship and thus the source of his comments.
I have previously stated that Pat Robertson's statements are ill-timed and inappropriate. These views serve in the same way that a "conspiracy theory" does. When one's own understanding of a situation at hand does not settle with the limits that their own world view of thinking allows them to - such words are injected to allow their bigoted minds to become comforted.
In the view of the Black Progressive-Fundamentalists - upon hearing these words from Robertson - Kristi Watts should have:
- Gone off on Pat Robertson - calling him a racist
- Blamed Haiti's fate up France, The United States and the CIA
- Proclaimed that if we support Maxine Waters' efforts in the nation it would see a rebound in a few years
- Walked Off Of The Show - Cursing as the cameras rolled
- Written a Expose' about the hate and racism behind the scenes of the "700 Club", where Black people are disrespected.
- Hatred
- Violence
- Ignorance
- Materialism
- Destroyed Lives via Drug Abuse
Please view the video above. In the world of Kristi Watts her life has been reformed and given a purpose from the entity that she is now attached to. In the world of "hurtful insults" to her person that she could suffer - these words did not rise to such a threat.
I heard the story of a woman who:
- Has achieved Peace and Balance in her life after suffering from a painful divorce
- Has become "content filled" after being "an empty shell" for far too long
- Has become a STRONGER CHRISTIAN as others around her have helped her grow in her own consciousness
- Feels confident enough about what she believes that she is now in the mass media - spreading her faith to others who might be presently "lost" as she once was
After a person spends 20 years bathed in the system that they prefer- are they built up as a stronger person of faith and consciousness or are they made into more of a dependent, consumer-driven person who has not infact "progressed"?
I still struggle to understand how the voices of certain people are seen as SUPERIOR when compared to the far more IGNORANT, DESTRUCTIVE AND DISRUPTIVE voices that are heard in far more abundance by the average member of the Black community - YET they don't elicit the same response from the gallery of critics.
In the world of the "Perpetual Radical" he is expected to "go off on" any "SLIGHT" that is "approved" by the Black Establishment while this same establishment fails to find a solution for the major problems that the Black community faces.
The Black women in this video from "60 Minutes" prove to be more attractive to the popular world view for they did not bring forth the "ridiculous" ( per the view of the establishment), Christian-centric understanding of their problems in finding a mate and the consciousness of the Black males who are not there for them:
Pat Robertson, Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin should be recognized by the "National Association of Black Journalists" for their ability to trigger headlines amongst certain Black people in a manner that is SUPERIOR to that which more pressing issues in Black America can ever hope to.

Nope. All we needed for her to say was this:
{What Pat Robertson said about Haiti's "Deal With The Devil" cannot be substantiated by the facts on the ground.
The long running claims that:
• The molestations by the modern day American CIA
• The actions by the World Bank and The IMF
• The actions taken by France during the 1700's
• The refusal by US President Thomas Jefferson to recognize Haiti as a soverign government
all having the PREVAILING influence up why Haiti is as it is TODAY - are all akin to Rev Pat Roberson's statements: NOT JUSTIFIABLE BASED UPON THE FACTS ON THE GROUND.}
Instead, she nodded her head and said "Absolutely, Pat."
Is that what YOU would have said?

Anonymous:
I am a "corporate Negro" who has to deal with customers who, at times "assault me" as they "assault" the products from my company that I represent when they are PISSED!!!
My disposition is as follows:
* With the knowledge that "if they hit me" this would be my meal ticket to retirement - I am thus given to have an INTELLECTUAL discussion with such a person who is hostile (or talking unsubstantiated crap)
* Upon hearing such a comment which was so out of line with my own grounding I would say:
"Rev Robertson - I am conscious about how your statements will be taken. COULD YOU ELABORATE about your claims, as some might feel them to be spiteful and untrue.
Please provide more details of your claim. Please provide us with a credible reference that everyone can go to as a means of substantiating them.
While I am a Christian and thus don't believe in any 'VooDoo' ritual within which this "deal with the devil" that you speak of may have been recorded - I also realize that Haiti is a majority Catholic nation and I believe that the power of OUR COMMON GOD has the power to trump any deal made to any other Devil or God.
I respectfully ask that you consider this point and further substantiate your claim, issuing a retraction if they can't be substantiated.
DOES THIS WORK FOR YOU ANONYMOUS?
Then it seems like we both agree: Watts' "Absolutely, yes" response was absolutely wrong.
If she had said what you would have said, that would certainly have been better.
