Politico Eleanor Holmes Norton defends Harry Reid, warns Republicans

Analysis:

Michael Steele and Eleanore Homes-Norton suffer from the very same offense:  Using the Black race as the "political football" that Malcolm X talked about almost 50 years ago.  The key "advancement" is that today the "Negro" is on the field running with the ball.  During Malcolm X's day he was forced to stay up in the bleachers that were segregated. 


For Michael Steele it is foolish that he as a Republican would seek to fortify the standard that one racialist word is enough to get you fired.  There will be far more Republicans who will be found to have said something offensive as posted on "Media Matters" than Democrats will say publicly.  This is not because ideology or party is an effective container for racial bigotry.  It is ONLY because the majority balance of Black-Americans vote in a manner that is favorable to the Democrats.  There is no need to make those "I would never say this in public because I know how it will be taken" comments said at all-White dinner parties public among White Progressive Snarling Foxes as it relates to Black people. 

It would have been more logical for Mr Steele to make note of the racial offensiveness of the comments, tell of their inappropriateness and demand a higher standard among all who are involved in the public discourse.

For me it is hard to take seriously a woman who would go on BET's "American Gangster" and make the case that the Republicans in Congress are the cause of the HIV infections in Washington DC.  The fact that Baltimore that has no federal Republican control and yet it is battling Washington DC for the #1 spot for HIV infections totally demolishes her claim.

Ms Norton says:

The nonvoting member of Congress said Reid's opponents “will not find a welcome mat in the black community” if they try to seize on his remarks.

Norton, a black woman who represents one of the most heavily African-American cities in the country, said Reid will enjoy support from the black community because he has “earned it with long support of civil rights and many other issues that matter most to African-Americans.”

I challenge Ms Norton:

Please enumerate the most frequent CIVIL RIGHTS THREATS to the Black community in 2010 and then explain why so many of them take place under the noses of the local Democrats who control our communities without them suffering any consequences?  Clearly the most egregious assaults upon Black people that would be called "Civil Rights Violations" IF White people had been the assailant go unlabeled as such ONLY because the assailant is Black.

I also ask Mrs Norton to make note of all of the "help" that she and Harry "Woodrow" Reid has to offer to the Black community.  Does this "help" make us more "organically strong" as a people or does it merely "service" us? 

I am stunned at how the machine that presently presides over Black America and all of the grievances that we now suffer are able to come off of the stage of LEADERSHIP and instead join in the protest march.  They avoid accountability for their deeds and mis-deeds and instead maintain their claim as "the voice of the people".

This type of racio-political gamesmanship is the reason why I dismiss the "American Political Domain" as a potential solution to our community's problems.
