Julianne Malveaux - "Climate Change Is A Civil Rights Issue For Blacks"

Climate change: A civil rights issue for blacks

I happen to be one of those "conservatives" who defy the stereotype.  I love science shows and documentaries because they both feed my quest for facts.  Thus as I reference my large library of recordings about the scientific history of the planet Earth I can't help but not how Dr Malveaux is crafty in her linkages.

You see - per my research I know that the land mass now know as New York used to be covered by a sheet of ice that was one mile thick.  The bedrock that has deep scour marks in it had been at the base of a glacier that ensnared boulders that the moving ice had compressed against the foundation rock and caused these impressions.

In summary - the EARTH'S CLIMATE HAS ALWAYS BEEN CHANGING!!!!

What better way to achieve an intended ideological or political outcome than to link CIVIL RIGHTS and RACISM to a powerful train that is moving through our political discourse?  This "train" has the purpose of reframing our line of thinking at the macro-level.

Again I ask you to read Dr Malveaux's words from the stand point of the disposition of the "Black person" on the globe.  Is she speaking about our own strength in what we can do to alter the situation of "Global Climate Change" or is she, as I suggest, framing us to be the worlds "VICTIM" of climate change because of the actions of others?

I am still waiting on Dr Malveaux to give an analysis of her "Wrap It Up" strategy with respect to condom distribution as it relates to the fact that DC and Baltimore top the HIV infection rates in the nation despite the fact that "Wrap It Up" is the prevailing policy.  They make note that "Abstinence Only Education" is a failure.  They say little about the efficacy of "Wrap It Up"

I am not inclined to follow Dr Malveaux's latest venture until she explains herself per the last fiasco.

Was there something put in the water in the 60's and 70's that caused black intellegensia to be so damned warped in their thinking? Seriously, I wish they would shut the hell up they are a disgrace to all black people everywhere. The scary part is this fool is teaching at Bennett College.

Correction - she is the PRESIDENT of Bennett College (and is likely teaching there as well)

Climate change, health care reform, the fish in California etc., all wind up sooner or later under the civil rights umbrella. That's how you campaign for office and get bills passed...

Hopefully somewhere in this nation in academia real science is being taught
