Atlanta Political Machine Opposses and Fears Threatened Split Of Fulton County

Philly.com: The plan would put Atlanta in a less affluent county

A few weeks ago the "Black Establishment Of Atlanta" was overjoyed.  As the headline from "The Root.com" stated "Atlanta Stays Black"- in reference to the news that the city of Atlanta had retained its streak of 6 Black mayors (Maynard Jackson was elected to two non-consecutive terms in office).

Today there is a cloud of fear that covers these very same political operatives.   Despite the recent reports that I saw on "Democracy Now" and "Al Jezeer English" warning about the growth of "White Right Wing Militia Groups" that threaten the safety of Black people in response to the election of a Black president and economic tough times.  Instead they fear the destruction of their carefully crafted "resource redistribution" scheme between north and south Fulton County Georgia.

As a technical consultant to the Fulton County School System several years ago I noted how RACE was the hot button issue in the county schools.  The school system was not allowed to implement a technology project unless it used a school from the north and a school in the south of the county in equal measure.  "North" and "South" were codewords for "White and Black" despite the pockets of exceptions in both cases.

Over the years this same Metro-Atlanta Establishment has opposed providing city charters to formerly unincorporated areas in both Fulton and Dekalb County.  (Sandy Springs and Dunwoody).   The unincorporated and prosperous land masses pay their property taxes directly to the county.  The county's tax digest is expanded and thus the powerful people on the respective county boards redistribute the money according to the needs in the county.

Things are much different with respect to accessing city funds.   When a charter is granted the city becomes the taxing authority.  The state provides a franchise to the new city to provide police, fire, water and sanitation services (among others) to the new entity.

The primary complaint heard from those who live in the unincorporated lands is that their taxes are higher than most while the services they receive in return are less substantial.  All of this due to the dilution of their resources across a broad landmass of this oblong county.

The present day Fulton County is a fusion between the old Milton County to the north and Campbell County to the south.  Today a number of people in the north seek to sever their ties with Fulton County and become Milton County once again.

This does not sit well with their neighbors to the south.

The claim of RACISM is sure to follow.

I realize that as a Black Man - I am SUPPOSED to look out for the "best interests" of Black people and thus oppose the divorce because it will cause a net hardship on the remaining portions of Fulton.  As logic goes - since these areas are where Blacks live - anyone who supports allowing "the White folks to go" is, by definition - "standing against the best interests of Black people".

I 1000% REJECT THIS PERVERTED THEORY.

CHICKENS COMING HOME TO ROOST

The truth of this entire circumstance is that the Black Establishment/ Civil Rights Establishment in Metro Atlanta has "played themselves".   They attempted to leverage their VOTING POWER into control over the political institutions of the county.  All the while they failed to build up a solid ECONOMIC base upon which to operate.  Their "economic power" came from distributing contracts per the political process.

We need to take a tour of some of the places within their own districts that are merely "vote harvesting" tracts of land.  Despite being areas with high concentrations of crime and poverty - one could see an abundance of campaign signs from the establishment candidates.   The machine decoupled the notion that their advocacy was to ORGANICALLY develop these communities into first class communities where public safety, education and small businesses abound.  Instead they developed the political spoils system, keeping these places in 'suspended animation'.   Feed enough to keep a lid on any protests about the misery within but not substantially any different from the conditions that were in place when the machine came into power.

The drive toward separation is a statement which says "Our interests are different enough from yours that we will not agree.   Our struggle over common resources have been a drain on the both of us.  LET US PART WAYS AND MANAGE OUR OWN AFFAIRS RESPECTIVELY.   From this separation the fidelity of our respective platform of ideas will be shown for all to see."

Such a concept strikes fear in the "Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism-Chaser".   I have incessantly repeated the statement about my observation of him.  His biggest fear is to BE LEFT ALONE, COMING FACE TO FACE WITH THE FACT THAT HIS STANDARD OF LIVING IS NOW DETERMINED BY HIS OWN ECONOMIC, ACADEMIC, CRIME & JUSTICE, AND SOCIAL/CULTURAL THEORIES.

He is at his strongest when he can impart his high order calls of "social justice" upon some EXTERNAL entity, demanding that they CHANGE.

When he is forced to impart these same theories upon his own fellow travelers - his difficulty in converting people who "don't give a damn what he thinks and who aren't trying to live up to his higher standards"  is shown.   (Note - this is not a racial challenge.  This is an ideological one).   He does not have a grasp on HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.  He is not able to get the same people who will one day benefit from his proposed changes to be the primary agents in implementing these changes.  Instead the expansive and external society must grant these standards to his people per their membership with.

Look at the pattern people.  The move by "Milton County" is no different than the "Corporate Flight",  "White Flight" and or "Black Flight Progressive" movement that we see in so many other areas.   Human nature says that an individual seeks to optimize his own advantage.  This fact trumps race.

THE CORRECTION

The only way this issue is going to be fixed, to the advantage of the people who are 'left behind' is for the leaders within the alter their consciousness.  They must understand that the desired change comes from the inside out.  It cannot be rained down upon these masses.

When the schools, the public safety and the culture in the place that is "left behind" become attractive and of net benefit then those who sought to distance themselves will begin to be attracted.   Instead of drawing upon their financial resources as one taps upon one's "social justice rights" the money that is transacted from these external people must be done per the exchange of resources of equal VALUE.

  • Purchase of an Admissions ticket for the Consumption of Arts and Culture
  • Payment of a Restaurant Tab for the Consumption of Culinary Culture
  • Payment For Labor Services Transacted as Jobs Are Created In The Area In Question

I personally believe that beyond the "White Racism" that people more frequently discuss there is a massive amount of "Non-White White Supremacy" which says that a "Majority Black Fulton County" can NEVER live up to a standard which is set by Milton County and the hue of people within.

This thought must be destroyed.
