Here Is One Supersized Salary That BQPFRCs Won't Demand A Pay Cut For

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP)—Men’s and women’s singles champions will earn $1.42 million at the Australian Open, which is increasing overall prize money by 12 percent.

All the extra money is going to the singles finalists, Tennis Australia chief executive Steve Wood said in a statement Saturday. The losing singles finalists will received $706,300.

This is an investment in the major revenue source for our sport in this country,” Wood said. “We want to work with the players to further elevate the status of the Australian Open.”

The Australian Open, the first of the year’s four tennis majors, starts Jan. 19 in Melbourne.

Campus Shooting & Killing On West Georgia College Campus

One dead, one seriously wounded in early morning fight

Let me start out by saying that I don't get off by harping on this news.  This blog is my vent.

I do not like turning on the television and seeing these events on the news.

Instead I make note of the history of various schools in the deep South such as University of Georgia and West Georgia College - where this shooting took place.

As the news report was being set up I had one of those "I hope they are not Black" moments.  When they said that a student was shot at a party - I knew that the conflict was surounding Black folks.  The people who were interviewed at the party confirmed my suspicions.   One femail said "two male egos were going at each other and then one guy said something that pushed the wrong button and the other guy started shooting".

I try to go beyond just reporting the news and harping on it with this blog.  In this case I am left to wonder why these students got so caught up in the passions of the moment that they forgot where they were and their purposes of being there.

I know that when the parents of the dead student, the injured student and the shooter sent their sons to college - they did not envision a Funeral, A Hosptial Stay and a Life Sentence without the possibility of Parole.

The popular talking point is for Black people to make referene to the injury that slavery and segregation has set upon us.  This particular shooting provides detail of how a deadly incident that happens in a small town college which was not always welcoming to Black people can be a tremendous set back for all who "look like" the shooter, the dead guy and the injured guy.

Southwest Atlanta Residents Meet To Talk About Recent Crime Spree

(Note: The Picture is from an "Anti-Crime Rally" in East Atlanta earlier this week.  This story below is from an anti-crime meeting in the Cascade area of Southwest Atlanta.)

They talk against "crime".  What are they saying about the CRIMINALS and where they are coming from?

Would we talk about "Lynching" and not focus upon those who are doing the "lynching"?

At town hall meeting, (Cascade Area) Atlantans vent about crime

At a standing-room-only town hall meeting Thursday night in Atlanta to talk about perceptions of worsening crime in the city, a woman tearfully said her home has been burglarized five times.

One man said he did not want to hear furloughs used as an excuse for not being able to track down criminals.

“I’m not going to accept that … [crime] is something we are going to have to live with,” said Steven Lee, president of the Martin Luther King Jr. Drive Merchants Association.

The meeting was hosted by City Council President Lisa Borders at Cascade United Methodist Church in southwest Atlanta.

Residents have held rallies, complained to city leaders and have set up Web sites in recent weeks to discuss their concerns about crime. The complaints are further exacerbated by recent city-ordered furloughs on police officers and firefighters.

“The perception is we are not hearing you,” Borders told the crowd of about 300 people. “We want to hear from you.”

Police Chief Richard Pennington told the audience that overall crime rose citywide by 4 percent between 2007 and 2008, largely because of a rise in property crime. The chief said burglaries increased 14 percent from 2007 to 2008 and car theft rose by 17 percent during the same time frame.

Officials asked residents to do a better job of watching out for their neighbors by setting up e-mail networks to alert each other about possible criminal activity.

“You have to get more involved. You have to pay attention,” Pennington told the audience.

Also, Borders said she wants to create a Community Improvement District along the Cascade Road business area that will allow commercial property owners to tax themselves to pay for additional police and fire protection.

Lisa Border's Home Hit By Thieves
City Council President's Home Burglarized

She was not at home when the break-in took place.

The thieves stole a flat-screen television and other electronic equipment, police said. Borders said two of her neighbors had their homes burglarized the next day.

Borders lives in Cascade Heights, an affluent subdivision near I-285.

“It’s disappointing,” said Borders. “I’m an elected official, and I can’t do anything about it on a personal level.”

Clayton's Jonesboro High School To Dance Team: You Can't Dance Like Sluts While Representing Our School

See The Video Here

There is a small ray of hope shining from time to time out of the Clayton County Georgia School System. STANDARDS ARE BACK!!!! This is a good thing.

Now I am a man but if I want to see females auditioning as shake dancers by doing dances that strippers do - I can go to a local club. This should not take place in a high school gym.

Jonesboro High dance team disbanded after provocative routine

The Jonesboro High School dance team has been suspended for the year after students danced provocatively at a school basketball game.

Clayton County school officials have barred the eight-member dance team from practicing or performing this year, said Jacqueline Evans, a spokeswoman for the district.

(NOTE: this is not from Jonesboro High)

Liberals Get "Religion"....And GUNS In Reponse To Little Five Points Murders

The old saying "A conservative is a liberal that got mugged" just might be true in the case of the citizens in the area of Atlanta known as "Little 5 Points".

Abstract theory about the right to bear arms goes out of the door when you have a REAL thug standing in front of you wanting to rob or kill you.

Self-defense classes, gun licenses rise in response to crime

And I had figured that the THUGS were only being used to campaign for the Democrats.

AJC:
In early December, three heavily armed men broke into Chris Devoe’s Little Five Points apartment and attacked him and a friend.

One intruder struck Devoe repeatedly in the head with a shotgun and then tied his hands with a cord. Two took his friend, Rachael Spiewak, into another room and sexually assaulted her. The third left with the victims’ ATM cards and passwords, returned, and then he, too, sexually assaulted her.

Word of the attack spread quickly through Atlanta’s gentrifying intown neighborhoods. It became one of a string of violent crimes that together shook residents’ sense of security.

Some responded by forming neighborhood groups and calling for more police protection. Others enrolled in self-defense classes. Still others say they have armed themselves, and applications for new gun permits nearly doubled in Fulton and DeKalb counties from 2007 to 2008, according to statistics from the county probate courts.

Spiewak, a 27-year-old social worker who manages a bicycle co-op, says the assault tested her values, but she felt she passed the test. She didn’t change. Like many of her neighbors, she wants additional cops on the street, but also more community centers, youth programs and better access to public transportation.

“The answer is always non-violence,” said Spiewak, who asked to be named in this article even though The Atlanta Journal-Constitution usually does not identify victims of sexual attacks.

Atlanta residents are finding a variety of ways to react to crime.

After a wave of robberies at upscale boutiques, Lindsay Daniel, owner of Poppy’s boutique in Buckhead, decided she didn’t want a weapon that could be taken from her and used against her. She installed a buzzer system at her store and signed up for self-defense classes.

Southeast Atlantans Rally Against Crime

Worried Atlanta residents rally against crime

The grass-roots effort that grew from the death of Grant Park bar worker John Henderson continues to evolve.

Monday night, about 175 people showed up at a rally in the heart of Little Five Points, held by newly formed advocacy group Atlantans Together Against Crime (ATAC).

It is the first in what the group plans to be a series of monthly rallies held in different local communities burdened by crime.

ATAC co-founder Kyle Keyser, armed with a megaphone, led the crowd in chants while standing on two milk cartons in the Little Five Points square.

Between chants, protesters stood along Moreland Avenue, waving signs like “Honk to Stop Crime” at motorists who drove past, many of whom returned the favor by honking their horns.

Even some Atlanta City Council members, Mary Norwood and Kwanza Hall, showed up, too.

“It speaks volumes to the concern” of a rise in crime, Hall said. “The concern, it resonates. It’s a real issue.”

Tyler O’Neill, 43, of Inman Park attended the rally because he believes something needs to be done about crime in Atlanta — a concern that many have echoed since Henderson’s murder on Jan. 7 in a robbery at a Grant Park bar.

And he doesn’t believe the city will do anything to improve police services unless the community presses the issue.

“We need to speak up,” O’Neill said. “It’s not going to happen. You need to get on the streets to make it happen.”

I am attempting to rationalize this for a second.  I don't want to throw cold water on it, however.

Where as some people make protests against "guns" along the pathway to end homicide in their community.   And other people, motivated by racial animous might protest against "Black thugs" or "White police men" - I am attempting to understand a rally against "Crime".

Is a rally against "crime" a "one off" argument like the fight against "illegal guns"?   The gun did not commit the crime - a person did.

In this case a person also commited the "crime".  Despite this the crowd is focusing on the CITY and what they might do in the way of police services to keep them safe.  The only problem is that the Atlanta budget deficit has now grown to $60 million.  Chances are they are not going to receive much relief from these official sources.

I suggested previously that all of this is taking place in a backdrop of class and racial displacement.  The new residents - mostly middle class and White are displacing the old population of Grant Park and the area south of Little Five Points which is mostly poor and Black.  In as much as you have two ships passing in the night - there are bound to be some conflicts at times.

Where as no doubt both of these groups likely cling to "progressive" principles - I don't hear the classical progressive approaches being talked about by anyone.  Where is the proposal for a joint community center where both groups can come together in the spirit of community and begin to relate to each other?   A person who knows you is far less inclined to hold you at gun point.  In fact upon detecting their needs (or character deficiencies) early that other person could intervein much earlier with offers of assistance.

Instead of a series of protests there needs to be a community sponsered initiative forward.

Clayton County GA School Board 80% Toward Regaining Accreditation

AJC: Clayton school officials say 80% of accreditation mandates met

The crash and fall of the past school regime in Clayton County is a classic tale of a factionalized panel who had been given power by the people to represent their best interests but who instead focused on their own internal petty squabbles.  As a result the integrity of Clayton County has been damaged.

For me as a long time observer of this situation it is not just a matter of doing things to slide back under the "lindo stick" and thus get recetified.  It is a matter of having SYSTEMS in place to insure that this never happens again.  The educational careers of 53,000 students (mostly Black) ride on such a commitment.

I can only imagine that of the 9 board members of the past there were a few who felt a bit uncomfortable about the lateral battles at hand.  Instead of speaking out in true leadership fashion that looked the other way hoping that the particular operatives who were causing the trouble would pass through their time in office and that no one would be looking at their aggregate work.  I have nothing but PRAISE for SACS.   They served as that external check which was needed to set forth a course correction.  Absent their abrupt action - I assure you that many of these same board members would have been reelected and the petty conflicts would have continued.

Sadly, ultimately - much of the blame cannot be dumped upon the school board.  They are 9 individuals who were sent forth by THE PEOPLE OF CLAYTON COUNTY.  Each of them were deemed fit by their respective constituencies.  I can only hope that the voters who have the power to choose will in the future chose to look at the qualifications of the people they send forth.  Too many times Black people favor people who "speak truth to power".   When there is a board full of "Truth Speakers" - we get the past situation.

I cannot say that I know the character of this new panel.  I hope that they work collectively to keep everyone in check as each of them remind the others that we can't go back - Back on our promises to the children.

Coatesville PA - Fires This Time - Again

The fire in Coatesville, Pa., started late Saturday and left several dozen people homeless. At least 30 arsons have been reported in the area since the start of 2008.

COATESVILLE, Pa. (AP) — The latest in a string of suspicious fires in this Philadelphia suburb tore through a block of row houses over the weekend, damaging 15 homes, leaving several dozen people homeless and prompting city officials to declare a state of emergency.

At least 30 arsons have been reported since the beginning of last year, about half of them in the last three weeks. The police said the fires might be part of a gang initiation, but there was no clear information about who was committing the crimes or why.

The latest fire was reported late Saturday at the back of one house, and it quickly spread to adjacent homes.

“This is an arson,” said the Coatesville city manager, Harry Walker. “No question about it.”

The fire came despite increased police patrols and investigative help from county, state and federal agencies.

“A lot of people are scared,” a resident, Marissa Martinez, said as she watched smoke rise from the rubble. “I never thought things could come to this point.”

Damage from the fire was estimated at $1.2 million, and some of the homes may have to be demolished, Mr. Walker said.

Arsons possibly a rite of gang initiation

(Note: Good thing that there is not a racial angle in this one. Then we'd hear from the National Civil Rights machine on this one.

With The Election Won Off Of Hype About The CHANGE They Are Going To Make Democrats Seek To Lower Expectations - Moving The Goal Posts Closer

Democrats try to lower economic expectations

They say despite bailout, stimulus, downturn may last for a while

Some of you all think that I hate the Democrats. I don't. I think that they are masterful in what they do. Don't mistake my ideological disagreements with many of them with utter hatred.

They have a more working class base and they know how to stroke them, managing their marketing message, turning it up when they are seeking power and ratcheting it down when they hold the keys and risk being judged.

I ain't mad at them.  If my goal was simply power and I had people thinking that as I grew in power so would they - I would be doing the same thing.

Ultimately folks - I can't blame the Democrats.  They are going to do what they are going to do.  The blame must be held by the public who have ALLOWED there to be a great distance between what they know to be possbile/probable and what ultimately turns out to grow to too large of a span.

Larry Summers has recovered nicely from his Harvard University tenure hasn't he?  I have not heard any feminists attacking him.  Feminists are so "unscientific" in their inclination to attack Democrats, aren't they?

Jacksonville FL - Racial Disparaties Deep Rooted From Birth

'Depressing' racial split shown to start at birth

Inequalities that begin at birth stack the deck against some of Jacksonville's children and worsen the problem of violent crime in the community, according to a new report.

The comprehensive study, authored by the Jacksonville Children's Commission and coupled with two other projects, has reignited the debate over the story of race in the city. And it presents dozens of statistics that paint a sobering picture of ongoing racial and ethnic disparities among children from birth to young adulthood. Among them:

- One in three black children live in poverty, compared with fewer than one in 10 white children.

- More than 13 percent of black infants are born with a low birth weight, compared with 7 percent of white babies.

- Black students are suspended from school at a rate more than twice that of white students.

The statistics presented in the report were so stark that they stunned into silence a group of pediatricians at a meeting, said Anne Egan, the commission's chairwoman and a pediatrician herself.

"The truth about our children took those who care for them by surprise," she said.

The findings illustrate why the city must get involved in the lives of at-risk children, Mayor John Peyton said at the report's release Monday.

Peyton bluntly confronted the idea that the city shouldn't get in the business of raising kids - a mindset he called prevalent in Jacksonville.

"We're in the business whether we like it or not," he said. "When we lose kids, then we spend $27,000 [a year] incarcerating them."

To turn our back on kids is a mistake, Peyton said - children don't choose the environment they are born into. He pledged to try to keep funding levels stable for children's programs aimed at reducing crime in the city, despite hard economic times.

Peyton also touted the Jacksonville Journey, a $31 million anti-crime initiative that includes social programs, as an important commitment to children - although the Journey came under fire last year from critics who said it gave too much money to law enforcement at the expense of education.

The Journey is providing extra money to the Children's Commission for after-school programs and other initiatives to prevent children and teens from getting in trouble.

Journey co-chairwoman Betty Holzendorf called the report "depressing."

Charges Of Racism And Bias In The Bush Civil Rights Division

Unabashed Racism in the Bush DOJ _Civil Rights_ Division

Some points are so ironic that they will never be brought to the table for debate.

Here we have certain operatives pointing out that the Bush Justice Department Civil Rights Division practiced ideological purging, and racism in their attempts to pack the division with conservatives. The key point that is not likely to be brought up is practices that have been used in the past to pack the division with progressives who are keen on filing civil rights lawsuits.

Roughly 2 years ago I heard a former attorney from this division give a radio interview. He was a White male, PROGRESSIVE. His argument was that the Civil Rights Division has been derailed as evidenced by the reduction in lawsuits filed for civil rights protection. In his mind the Clinton era numbers were the golden reference. The more lawsuits the more proof that the division was doing its job.

By the time that I got on the radio to confront the man the interview was over. I challenged the talk show host, who was Black - as to why the same Black community would reject the DEA's argument that his agency's INCREASED drug arrests was proof that there are abundant drug problems. Do you see how one's perspective plays a part in all of this? How many times have we heard the "there are too many people in prison" crowd make note of the explosion of the prison population? They argue that America has not become a more violent nation. We have simply chosen to LOCK MORE PEOPLE UP thus it is the sentencing that must change so that the prison population can change.

Notice, however, when it comes to "favorable law and punishment" they want the printing presses that make the indictments and search warrants to speed up!!

From this same White male progressive I abstracted the "inferiority list" which I heard him use regarding population segments that have difficulty voting: "The elderly, the handicapped, the English as a second language people, the Black population". I can understand why everyone on this list would have a challenge in voting EXCEPT FOR "The Blacks". As he argued I felt that I as a Black person had some special type of inferiority that prevented me from locating my drivers license on voting day.

In summary - previous administrations packed the Civil Rights Division with PROGRESSIVES. In as much as some believe that the progressives OWN "Civil Rights" these actions were seen as normal. All that they did set the baseline on how the division is to act. The threshold that they used to trigger a lawsuit became the Golden Rule. Anyone who dares raise the bar is said to be introducing INJUSTICE.

In regards to the hits upon Dr Mary Francis Berry - I can't think of a better person to suffer such attacks. Recall that when former Republican senator Jeffords became an Independent and thus turned the Senate over to the Republicans? Mary Francis Berry - former executive with leftwing oracle Pacifica Networks - said in front of an NAACP luncheon "Gee and I was waiting for Senator Strom Thurmond to die so that the senate could flip to the Democrats". She, the sitting chairman of the "US Commission On Civil Rights" felt within her comfort zone to say such a thing.

Randy Schlozman crime and stupidity seems that he committed some of his antics to writing. He should learn to do as his more progressive counterparts do - operate with the goal of dominating the division absent the email trail.

Oakland To Hire Unarmed Security Guards To Control Riot Prone Area

Do you ever notice that the usual suspects will NEVER make note that the $2,000 given to businesses vandalized during the riots and the money spent on hiring guards COULD HAVE BEEN USED to educate these young people and/or used to operate a community center?

HUMMMMM.

So many ironies to digest

Expecting more protests, Oakland to hire guards

Oakland - A Legacy Of Conflict Between Blacks And Police

"Right now, you've got people down there trying to break down the doors to speak to you today, and nothing's being done to let them inside," said Tucker, a board member of the city's African-American Chamber of Commerce. "This is a metaphor of what's been happening on a larger scale in Oakland for years."

Historian Lavoie said you can trace the history of troubled relations between Oakland minorities and police to the 1950s, when the lure of post-World War II jobs brought African-Americans from the South, as well as white Southerners, many of whom would put on uniform and badge.

"The tension that resulted had a lot to do with who was hired, because a lot of the people from the South brought attitudes with them," he said. "Blacks, but also whites not willing to be as tolerant as Oakland historically had been."

Lavoie says relations between police and minorities have dramatically improved since the 1960s, when the Black Panthers formed to patrol the streets, ostensibly to police the police. Despite this week's flare of street violence, "what you should look at is how police responded Wednesday night, versus how they went after peace marchers in the '60s. There's a huge difference."

Black Females Suffer Disproportionately From Sexually Transmitted Diseases

Annual CDC Report Finds High Burden of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Especially among Women and Racial Minorities

Somehow "Abstinence Only Education" will be blamed for this as well.
Once the Obama administration purges "AOE" what will they blame the elevated rates on 4 years from now? The POWERFUL LEGACY of "AOE"?

Annual CDC Report Finds High Burden of Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Especially among Women and Racial Minorities

Reported cases of chlamydia and gonorrhea in the United States exceeded 1.4 million in 2007, according to an annual report by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. These diseases continue to be the most commonly reported infectious diseases in the nation and pose persistent and preventable threats to fertility in the United States.

The report, Sexually Transmitted Disease Surveillance, 2007, shows persistent racial disparities across these and other sexually transmitted diseases (STD), and a particularly heavy burden of disease among women. The report also finds continued increases in syphilis. This disease, while once on the verge of elimination, began re-emerging as a threat in 2001 and increased 15.2 percent between 2006 and 2007.

“The widespread occurrence of these diseases should serve as a stark reminder that STDs remain a serious health threat in the United States, especially for women and racial and ethnic minorities,” said John M. Douglas, Jr., M.D., director of CDC’s Division of STD Prevention. “Left untreated, chlamydia and gonorrhea can cause infertility, affecting a woman’s chance to bear children later in life. Such a severe consequence is entirely avoidable, if as a nation we work together to increase the use of proven prevention tools and make them widely available to those who need them.”

Women Bear Heavy STD Burden, Including Risk of Infertility

Women continue to bear a disproportionate burden of the long-term health consequences of STDs. In 2007, the chlamydia rate among women was three times that of men (543.6 cases per 100,000 women, compared to 190 cases per 100,000 men). The gonorrhea rate was also higher among women (123.5 per 100,000 women, compared to 113.7 per 100,000 among men).

Although the two diseases can be easily diagnosed and treated, they often have no symptoms and go undetected. If left untreated, up to 40 percent of chlamydia and gonorrhea infections in women can result in pelvic inflammatory disease – a condition that causes as many as 50,000 women to become infertile each year. Untreated chlamydia or gonorrhea can also cause ectopic pregnancy, chronic pelvic pain, and other serious health problems.>

STDs Take Heaviest Toll on Racial Minorities, Especially Black Women

CDC’s 2007 STD surveillance report also indicates ongoing racial disparities in the three most common reportable STDs, with African-Americans bearing the greatest burden. While
representing 12 percent of the U.S. population, blacks had about 70 percent of reported
gonorrhea cases and almost half of all chlamydia and syphilis cases (48 percent and 46 percent respectively) in 2007.

STDs take an especially heavy toll on black women 15 to 19 years of age, who account for the highest rates of both chlamydia (9,646.7 per 100,000 population) and gonorrhea (2,955.7 per 100,000 population) of any group. STDs in this age group are of particular concern because of the potential threat of these two diseases to a woman’s fertility.

New Orleans: Blacks Still Mad At Bush Over Katrina But Reelected Their Democratic Mayor

Bush comments on Katrina sound sour in New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — President George W. Bush can defend the federal government's response to Hurricane Katrina. But to Gertrude LeBlanc, the view from her home in the city's Lower 9th Ward is all the evidence she needs to believe it was a failure.

A row of concrete foundations is all that's left where her neighbors' houses once stood.

"Bush didn't give a damn what we got," said the 73-year-old, who says she rebuilt her bright yellow house with the neat yard with help from a church group and the "little bit" in federal aid she got from the state-run program meant to help hurricane-affected homeowners, Road Home.

"To me, black folks weren't handled right, but we can't worry about it. We have to do the best we can."

When Bush leaves office next week, New Orleans will still show the scars of Hurricane Katrina, which slammed ashore on Aug. 29, 2005. LeBlanc's neighborhood is still largely uninhabited, with weeds tall around some decrepit houses and roads cracked and warped. In some neighborhoods, apartment buildings and businesses are empty. Some houses still bear the haunting markings left by search teams in the frantic aftermath of the storm.

Bush, in some of his last comments before leaving office, said Monday at a news conference that he stood behind the federal government's response to Katrina, even though he admitted once again that some things could have been done differently and acknowledged there's still more work to do. Those words stung for people still living in the aftermath of the storm, still waiting for neighbors to come home.

"More people need to have their own home there," Bush said. "But the systems are in place to continue the reconstruction in New Orleans. You know, people said, 'Well, the federal response was slow.' Don't tell me the federal response was slow when there was 30,000 people pulled off roofs right after the storm passed."

The comment drew an at-times exasperated response from residents like LeBlanc and government leaders, some of whom believe federal bureaucracy is still choking recovery efforts.

The Katrina response "is still a national disgrace, and New Orleans, in many places, still looks like a war-torn city."

This argument is all about framing.  As long as people focus upon "5 days of Bush" and about the city that has yet to be rebuilt the KEY point will be missed:

The fiasco known as the "Botched Rescue Effort After The Storm Passed" is 100% about the DEADLY AND DEVISTATING EFFECTS OF FLOOD ZONE ZONING IN WHICH POOR PEOPLE WERE ALLOWED TO LIVE IN DANGERIOUS AREAS WITH LIMITED ABILITY TO ESCAPE FROM DANGER.

That's it.  Start and Stop.

There are two competing theories on this story though.  One is the more compelling story told by Spike Lee and others with a political backdrop.  The tale of human suffering in the wake of uncaring government.  Certainly a political score is made in this tale.  If it were not for BUSH - the suffering might not have happened and the city would be gleaming like new just a few short years later.

The other narrative can be found on The Discovery Channel, The History Channel and as of a few weeks ago "The Weather Channel" - "When Weather Change History".   These more scientific approaches detailed the facts about the storm, the storm surge and the man made water protection systems that failed to retain the water of the most powerful water way in North America.

If you allow Spike Lee and others to tell it - the government having FAILED to rescue the people and the government FAILING to rebuild the homes IN THE SAME DAMNED ZONE OF DANGER is all that we need to talk about.  The people were largely poor and Black and thus it is RACISM that is the underlying motivation for all of this.

I am begining to wonder WHO should stand as criminally liable for allowing these people to return to an area that is known to produce such deadly outcomes over time?  Ironically these same proponents are also those who accept Global Warming and the subsequent rise in sea level that this will provoke.  By allowing the low lying areas of New Orleans to be rebuilt they are setting the stage for yet another "botched rescue effort" some time in the future.

It is amazing that after 8 years of hearing how certain operatives placed POLITICS OVER SCIENCE this tendency knows no ideological or partisan bound.

I ask that every person that is demanding that these houses be rebuilt in the flood zones commit their name to a certain contract.  30 years from now it will assist us in filing a lawsuit against those who are responsible for the next round of death in the "100 year flood" that now comes every 30 years or so.

New Orleans and Katrina - a story that is never going to die - not until the next storm it seems.

Detroit Mayoral Candidate Bing Would Consider A School Takeover As Mayor

Bing open to takeover of Detroit Public Schools

Detroit Mayoral candidate Dave Bing is interested in improving public education in the city of Detroit even if it includes a takeover of Detroit Public Schools, his campaign said Thursday.

Mr Bing - I like you man. You are an accomplished business man and thus you get a bit of credibility in my book from the start.

I would like to hear more details from you about your plan though. A mere take over of these schools, where the mayor is running things ultimately means nothing.

What is your position on Charter schools, teachers unions, and fundamental discipline of the students? These are the important factors.

Damn Evander. Say It Ain't So About Your Crib

The Fayette County home of former heavyweight boxing champion Evander Holyfield faced foreclosure this week. The home reportedly is worth an estimated $10 million and was set to be auctioned by a bank on July 1. The auction, however, has been called off.

There is not one cell in my body that is hoping that Evander Holyfield loses this house. He routinely opens up his doors to various kids on Independence day for a big cookout and during Christmas season he decorates his lawn with lights. These two things have become standard traditions for those of us who live in the immediate vicinity of this mansion. It is no doubt a standard reference as we bring out of town guests into our homes for the first time. I make it a poin to drive down Old National Hwy from the airport in order to point out the Holyfield estate.

To be honest - I wondered how Mr. Holyfield was going to retain the house during his retirement. As the biggest house in Fayette County GA he is also the largest private property tax payer. I can imagine that he pays upward of $250,000 per year in property taxes.

Not that I am in any position to tell the man what to do with his property nor am I attempting to push him out of the crib. This would make for a profitable "bed and breakfast" and conference facility.

FBI Probes Gunshots Pumped Into Two Fayette County GA Black Churches

Gunshots strike 2 historically black churches while they were unoccupied

The FBI has joined the probe into two incidents during the past week in which gunshots were fired into unoccupied black churches.

Flat Rock A.M.E. Church located at 148 Old Chapel Lane, Fayetteville, Ga., an historic congregation that has been meeting for more than 150 years, was the latest to receive gunshot damage during a time when no one was at the church.

Earlier this week, Peachtree City Police were investigating a shooting that damaged one of Fayette County’s oldest churches early Tuesday morning.

Those shots were fired into the front door of Bethlehem Baptist Church, located on Dividend Drive between Kelly Drive and Crosstown Drive in what is now the city’s industrial park area. No one was at the church at the time, police said.

Police said they have narrowed down the time frame the incident occurred at the Bethlehem Baptist Church from roughly 6:45 to 7:30 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 20.

Bethlehem is a predominantly black church and has been since its inception.

Police are following all leads and possible motives for the incident, police said. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation helped process the scene, police said.

Now with the second church shooting reported in the same week, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Peachtree City Police Department, and Fayette County Sheriff’s Office are cooperating in the expanded probe.

The police report late Friday afternoon gave no details on the Flat Rock A.M.E. shooting.

Anyone with information about these incidents is asked to call the FBI at 404-67..., the Peachtree City Police Department at 770-48... and/or the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office at 770-461-6353.

According to The Citizen archives, “The church originated in 1854 as a place of worship for slaves on Spears Plantation, which was approximately two miles south of the current church location. Flat Rock A.M.E. Church became the cornerstone for the organization of other African American churches in Fayette County. Church historical accounts and previous newspaper articles note that Flat Rock was the forerunner for the establishment of Little Vine Baptist, established in 1866; Edgefield Baptist, organized in 1870; and Wilkes Grove, organized in 1916.

“The church has been rebuilt and remodeled several times over the years. In 1917, the church and many historical documents were destroyed by fire but the structure was rebuilt. In 1953, it was remodeled to add rest rooms and a choir loft. The current building was constructed in 1978.”

Bethlehem Baptist “was first organized under a brush arbor in 1867 and in 1878 James A. Arnold, a white landowner, deeded two acres of land to the members. The first building was very near the present one at 475 South Dividend Drive, opposite Peachtree City’s Falcon Field.

“This community, which was first known as Clover, is now Peachtree City.

“In 1904 a tract of land was purchased behind the church to serve as its cemetery and it is still in use.

“A school for African-American children, grades 1 through 7 operated there until 1954.”

I would not be surprised if this was done by some ignorant young White boys fearing the increasing diversity of the county.

In this era I hope that all Christians and people of faith REGARDLESS of their color stand up and defend these houses of worship from any people operating on the devil's agenda. We have come too far as a nation to allow this to happen.

Clayton County Teen Beaten On School Grounds By Gang

All the while the "Civil Rights Leaders" who look "back in the day" when Black folks were not allowed to attend the high school in Clayton County of their own choosing - pat themselves on the back in regards to their growing political power - the Black students in the schools that are run by people who are looked upon favorably by these ideological bigots fear for their safety.

Maybe if we imagine that a gang of White kids who did not want to see Dominic Thompson in their school did this we could get these people who purport to fight for the JUSTICE for Black people into action over this, the latest in the series of assaults upon the safety and civil rights of Black people and residents of Clayton County regardless of their race.

Can someone tell me a downside of my agitation against the ideological bigots that purport to have our community's best interests in mind? If I goad them into action - more Black people will receive protection. When they come out and attack me - simply add that to the list of Blacks getting attack by another Black.

Plain and simple these people are into POWER not the fundamental attainments that we once demanded prior to entering into political advocacy.

For those of you asking me for MY SOLUTIONS - you are looking at it!!!! I am demanding that those who now sit in the seat of authority to DO THEIR JOBS in keeping the Black community safe. It is already clear that the Black community is not inclined to vote them out of office. What other recourse do I have? Welcome them into Fayette County so they can escape the torment? I am attempting to get the Black Flight Progressives to STAY PUT in their Progressive Bastions by getting them to see that there are indeed long term consequences to their bigoted ideology which has them fighting against the SYSTEM while failing to field a functional SYSTEM of their own. Put down your FIST and put forth a more functional system.

Clayton County Student Badly Beaten On School Grounds - Click Here To See Video

JONESBORO, Ga. -- A Clayton County tenth grader, who no longer wanted to be part a clique, is recovering from a brutal on-campus assault and authorities said they are considering upgrading charges against the individuals responsible.

Dominic Thompson, 17, told WSB-TV Channel 2 that two of his classmates convinced him to leave first period gym class before turning on him in the worst way.

“We went inside the football bin where they keep all of the equipment and that's when he had hit me. We started fighting and I hit my head on something,” said Thompson, who became unconscious.

The incident, which happened Thursday on the campus of Jonesboro High School, left Thompson with a black eye and several bruises on his face.

Thompson said there are at least four gangs at Jonesboro High School. Often called cliques or “sets,” students are said to be forced in and beaten as initiation.

Thompson admitted to once being part of a clique or “set,” but told WSB-TV that he no longer wanted to participate. As a result, fellow clique members deemed Thompson in serious violation of gang rules for talking to others.

“They just try boys that they know not going to do nothing back to them and just beat the boys down,” said Thompson.

Thompson’s mother, Katrina Thomas, said she is furious.

“My child is scared to walk the streets,” said Thomas.

She said she feared for her son’s life and questions on-campus security.

“I'm not saying that they don't have security, but you don't have enough. That's my point,” said Thomas.

“We believe this was an isolated incident, ... and the allegations of gang violence come from the parent and the district is working with the school resource officer and police with respect to this matter,” said Charles White, a spokesperson for the Clayton County School District.

The two students accused in connection with the incident were being held at the Regional Youth Detention Center Friday, charged with battery and the Georgia Gang Act. The district attorney is considering whether to upgrade the charges to aggravated assault.

Atlanta Teen Shot Dead Outside Hip Hop Recording Studio

That promised reform of Hip Hop came a bit too late for 19 year old Adair Freeman who was gunned down in Midtown Atlanta. Freeman was apparently the victim of a robbery attempt.

Sadly this killing, like so many others that are happening throughout Atlanta will not trigger the Civil Rights stalwarts into action. With the Obama administration in place they are temporarily happy that their focus on the threats to Black people from WHITE FOLKS will garner the most attention.

These Blacks who "Got Themselves Kilt" at the hands of another Black man are just S.O.L.
I do not know for sure that this young man was killed by a Black person but since there are no reports of Klansmen riding around - I feel fairly certain and have an open mind to change if the evidence says otherwise.

Atlanta Teen Shot Outside Of A Recording Studio In Midtown

A Worthy "Economic Wake Up Call" For All Americans

The Economic Crash Course - America's Financial Future

Notice how this sobering tale is so different from that which can be heard by various partisans. For some people today's economic situation is going to be fixed by digging up FDR from the grave and repeating what they believe was the magic cure to fix the Great Depression. For others - they figured that they will allow the bomb to explode in President Obama's hands and then sweep back into office and rule for a few decades hence.

They will soon see that they both are wrong.

America's economy is really a faith and confidence game. To date our spending versus productivity rate is out of whack. With the staggering debt that is already in existence adding new debt so as to improve the short term condition is nothing more than doing credit card cash advances to pay this month's rent.

I have to give a special hat tip to "Noah The Africa" for hipping everyone to this information. Noah and I have had battles for the ages for more than 10 years as the Internet message boards became the forum by which total strangers can exchange ideas.

Noah has been sounding the alarms about financial collapse for an extended period of time. I believe that this material makes a good case for his perspective.

Where I disagree with my friend Noah, however, is on the subject of translating this information into the individual lives of people. He is still of the belief that "Conservatives failed to help Black people who are in need" and thus they stand against our best interests. This is an amazing statement in regards to the information that Noah has at his disposal.

Isn't it more rational for a person who knows the sinking sand of the American financial system to promote more ORGANIC suggestions for the Black community? Why seek to increase dependence on something that you make the case will no longer be around in a short time in the future? It has never been a better time to promote the independent consciousness for our communities. Once the inevitable collapse occurs - at least our people will be indoctrinated with a sense of independence along with the internal systems of operation in place to slightly fall as the outer protection is taken away from us but not experience a total collapse because our center of gravity is within.

Obama Predicted To Improve Black Test Scores

No No No.  Not through any particular policy or funding initiatives.  The gravitational pull of seeing a Black president is expected to get the segment of Blacks who had been underachieving to start doing better in school.

Black Leftist Extremists Groups - The Ties That Bind

New Zeal: Obama's Church: It's Hidden Ties to Black Extremism and Communism Part 1

New Zeal: Obama's Church: It's Hidden Ties to Black Extremism and Communism Part 2

New Zeal: Obama's Church: It's Hidden Ties to Black Extremism and Communism Part 3

New Zeal: Obama's Church: It's Hidden Ties to Black Extremism and Communism Part 4

The newly formed BLA believed that "the character of reformism is based on unprincipled class collaboration with our enemy"and asserted the following principles:

1. That we are anti-capitalist, anti-imperialist, anti-racist, and anti-sexist.
2. That we must of necessity strive for the abolishment of these systems and for the institution of Socialistic relationships in which Black people have total and absolute control over their own destiny as a people.
3. That in order to abolish our systems of oppression, we must utilize the science of class struggle, develop this science as it relates to our unique national condition.

American Gangster Exposes Key Black Radical Linkages That The News Media Buried During The Obama Election

I have much respect for the BET series "American Gangster". While seeking to make the case that "hey we have some of our own Al Capones and Tony Sopranos" they in fact do an excellent job in providing context by which many of our existing problems have come to fruition.

Such was the case with the episode that focused on Mutulu Shakur. If you've listened to Black Nationalist radio or speeches as I occasionally do then you've heard the name "Mutulu Shakur" held up high. He is listed by them as a modern day American "political prisoner". He proclaimed that he was fighting for the liberation of his people as he performed the antics that he is charged with back in the day.

In the context of the American 2008 presidential elections I learned some jaw dropping information that led me to believe that the news media in this nation failed in a meaningful way to communicate some key linkages among left wing radical groups.

We all heard about William Ayers and his left wing terrorist group "The Weather Underground" who were responsible for setting off several bombs against "establishment target" in the context of their protests against the Vietnam War. Barack Obama has ties with Ayers and his wife.

"American Gangster" was the first time I had heard of the linkage between "The Weather Underground/ The Weathermen", "The Republic of New Afrika" and "The Black Liberation Army". The later two are left wing Black Nationalist organizations.

I had heard about the bank robbery, the subsequent killing of the police man and the former Black panther who escaped to Cuba as related to the "Black Liberation Army". I had not heard the linkage of these two groups in with the antics of the "Weather Underground" prior to "American Gangster" announcing it.

None of this is a surprise to me though. Just as today's supposed "Hip Hop Revolutionaries" are solidly leftist quasi-socialists who back the Democratic Party - their predecessors in the RNA, the BLA and the Black Panthers were similarly socialist inclined and left leaning. Despite the millions that these Hip Hop artists hold in their pockets - their leftist, socialist roots remain as it connects them to the communities from which they come from. The calculus as to why this is the case is pretty clear.

All of these groups are effectively "anti-authority", "anti-establishment" in nature. The milieu of their movement is the "rage against the machine". The key to their people's salvation is the reversal of order by which the current establishment now holds which is suppressing the full potential of the masses. The money that is hoarded by the capitalistic interests need to be shared with the people.

The primary flaw of all of these groups listed above is that they know not how to manage/govern once they are in power. A rebel/revolutionary must some day put down his protest signs and instead learn the "Roberts Rule of Order" so that they might be successful in the political seats that they now occupy.

It is quite ironic that Barack Obama is now the president. I am not saying that he came up through the ranks of any of these groups. It comes as no surprise that these groups (or the fragments of their membership that remain) are all Obama supporters. They have more hope that this one man and the army of operatives that he places at the control of government will be able to CHANGE the government than they conclude that the inherent nature of this particular government stands against their interests.

Just as I have pointed out several times regarding the Black left extremists who publish "Black Commentator.com" their goal is to milk the cow, not slaughter it. They are required to keep the basic machinations of capitalism alive, just insure that the government skims the cream off of the top and redistributes it for their particular interests.

I fully believe that they realize that a strict implementation of their socialist and anti-conservative dogma would plunge both the economy and the society into anarchy and chaos.

The goals of the "Republic Of New Afrika" prove particularly interesting. They propose to take over the land that presently comprise the state of "South Carolina, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana". Their argument is that since our ancestors tilled the soil and built up the land that these lands should be partitioned to the Black man of America.

My goal is not to justify or refute their argument in the context of slavery. My only goal is to make reference to the general disposition that these Leftist groups have in regards to the prospects for ever GOVERNING a land of their own. Once again "OPPOSITION TO" does not translate into "MANAGEMENT OF". Some Black folks get off on the notion that 'I know WHO did this to us and they must pay" as being the primary driver for their entire attempt to REPAIR the Black man. This is little more than equating holding a court judgment in hand in which you were awarded $10 million from a homeless man AND there is no marshal service around to help you collect your damages in the first place anyway. I am convinced that many of these leftist groups are more interested in the masturbatory sentiments that they feel from being "RIGHT" than they are interested in ever successfully implementing their agenda. (God help us all if they ever are successful.)

Wouldn't it be more logical to get the masses of Black people to CHANGE their own behavior right NOW while in the context of a nation that can take care of their basic needs (defense, public utilities, etc) and then formulate a set of living conditions by which they outgrow this nation and then choose to split off, having inculcated the key practices for living bountifully prior to their exodus?

Seems too rational for me.

Treat Obama Equally - Now I See Why THEY Don't Like Juan Williams

Judge Obama on Performance Alone
By Juan Williams

Yet there is fear, especially among black people, that criticism of him or any of his failures might be twisted into evidence that people of color cannot effectively lead. That amounts to wasting time and energy reacting to hateful stereotypes. It also leads to treating all criticism of Mr. Obama, whether legitimate, wrong-headed or even mean-spirited, as racist.

This is patronizing. Worse, it carries an implicit presumption of inferiority. Every American president must be held to the highest standard. No president of any color should be given a free pass for screw-ups, lies or failure to keep a promise.

During the Democrats' primaries and caucuses, candidate Obama often got affectionate if not fawning treatment from the American media. Editors, news anchors, columnists and commentators, both white and black but especially those on the political left, too often acted as if they were in a hurry to claim their role in history as supporters of the first black president.

For example, Mr. Obama was forced to give a speech on race as a result of revelations that he'd long attended a church led by a demagogue. It was an ordinary speech. At best it was successful at minimizing a political problem. Yet some in the media equated it to the Gettysburg Address.

Aaron McGruder You Had Better Learn Son - This Ain't Bush No More. You Are Going To Be Attacked For Attacking Our New President. Watch Yourself

'Boondocks' Creator Explains Obama Comment

"On the topic of race and ethnicity, McGruder said that to him, Obama is not black because he is not a descendant of a slave," states an article posted on Pal-Item.com. It goes on to quote McGruder as saying, "The person who is one of us in the White House is Michelle Obama and her momma."
McGruder, 34, denies the story on his Myspace page saying, "Hey guys, never said Barack wasn't Black... please don't bother me with that bullshit."

"I have seen an endless stream of Black pundits on TV pontificating about the significance of President Obama's election - many of them making reference to the 3/5th's clause in the constitution regarding slaves. The point I was making is that this is not an accurate comparison.

"Barack is the son of an immigrant, not the descendant of slaves. It's like comparing a half-Japanese man to the oppressed Chinese who built the American railroads. Yes, they are both Asian, but it is not an honest or accurate comparison. We all share the common experiences of being Black in America today - we do not all share a common history. A history that in part makes us who we are - and in some cases (as with the psychological damage that still lingers from slavery) holds us back. These are not, I believe, insignificant distinctions.

"I did say I was cautiously pessimistic about Obama's Presidency - but this is simply acknowledging the reality of an American Empire that is out of control and on the verge of collapse. Let us not forget that on the eve of the election, we witnessed a near-trillion dollar robbery of the US treasury. That robbery is still taking place. I do not blame President Obama, but I do not believe the financial and corporate interests that own and control this country will fold so easily. I do not question the integrity of the man as much as the power of his office - which I believe has greatly diminished over the years. I believe the Federal Reserve Bank, the Military Industrial Complex, and the massive corporate interests that run this country have more power than our new President. I hope I am wrong.

"After 9/11, I witnessed most of this country become obsessed with squashing dissent and silencing critics. I hope this election does not turn Black America towards this same, fascist mind state; but already I am starting to see it, and it saddens me greatly.

I absolutely wish our new President and his family success and safety. But after all I have witnessed in my lifetime, and especially in the last eight years, I am not ready to lay down my skepticism or my outrage for this government. To do so would be unwise and, ironically enough, anti-American."

McGruder Operation B.O. - Before Obama

The Boondocks is a wry political strip about Huey Freeman, an angry Black kid who moves to the suburbs. It regularly features his little brother, Riley, and his best friend, Caesar, a native of Brooklyn, N.Y. Huey, a "radical scholar," has called out Jesse Jackson and smacked Bob Johnson and Black Entertainment Television. Sacred cows should graze with caution in the boondocks.

After 9/11, McGruder continued to let Huey speak his peace. The suburban kid harangued America's outpouring of unchecked patriotism, Attorney General John Ashcroft and the Bush Administration's bulldozing of civil liberties. As a result, The Boondocks was temporarily pulled from the New York Daily News and Newsday. The Dallas Morning News opted to move it out of the comics section rather than yank it altogether.

Universal Press Syndicate has been very supportive of McGruder, whose strip appears in 250 newspapers across the country, including The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times and the Chicago Tribune, while understanding the readership concerns of the papers with which they work.

"True, some newspapers have pulled the strip, and we like to think that individual editors know what's best for their readers," says Kathie Kerr, UPS director of communications. "At the same time, we're completely supportive of the work Mr. McGruder is doing and we'll continue to support him."

And so Huey continues to take jabs at the war in Iraq, Kobe Bryant and the recall election in California. President Bush is a regular target. In an August strip, Huey announced, "I heard Bush avoided Liberia during his trip to Africa 'cause he thought it meant 'library' in Spanish.

The City Of Chicago's "Hurricane Katrina" That No One Took A Hit From

1995 Chicago heat wave
From the Wikipedia Article:

The temperatures soared to record highs in July with the hottest weather occurring from July 12 to July 16. The high of 106 °F (41 °C) on July 13 set the record for the warmest July temperature since records began at Chicago Midway International Airport in 1928. Nighttime low temperatures were unusually high—in the upper 70s and lower 80s °F (about 26 °C)—as well. Record humidity levels also accompanied the hot weather. The heat index reached 119 °F (48 °C) at O'Hare airport, and 125 °F (52 °C) at Midway Airport.

The aggregating factors listed in this segment makes the outcome even more ominous

Most of the heat wave victims were the elderly poor living in the heart of the city, who either had no working air conditioning or could not afford to turn it on. Many older citizens were also hesitant to open windows and doors at night for fear of crime.[6] Elderly women, who may have been more socially engaged, were less vulnerable than elderly men. By contrast, during the heat waves of the 1930s, many residents slept outside in the parks or along the shore of Lake Michigan.[2]
Because of the nature of the disaster, and the slow response of authorities to recognize it, no official "death toll" has been determined. However, figures show that 739 additional people died in that particular week above the usual weekly average.[7] Further epidemiologic analysis showed that blacks were more likely to die than whites, and that Hispanics had an unusually low death rate due to heat. At the time, many blacks lived in areas of sub-standard housing and less cohesive neighborhoods, while Hispanics at the time lived in places with higher population density, and more social cohesion.

Hurricane Katrina - The Gift That Keeps On Giving To Democrats Who Are Able To Shift Responsiblity

New White House Site Slams Bush On Hurricane Katrina - The Politic

The Hurricane Katrina fiasco was all about DEADLY FLOOD ZONE ZONING POLICY that allowed thousands of poor people to be stranded after they failed to take heed of the evacuation order.

People seek to make 30 years of failed policies into 5 days worth of a "Bush Created Disaster".

One only needs to look at the present day New Orleans where people are being murdered on a near daily basis to understand that the people doing the political attacks DON'T GIVE A DAMN about the people there. They only care as much as they can receive political advantage from using their hurricane suffering.

Not that I am wishing for it but President Obama had better be measured on his attacks. He is likely to have his own storm on his watch.

The new White House website unveiled by President Barack Obama’s team Tuesday includes a shot at former President Bush’s response to Hurricane Katrina.

Under the “agenda” portion of the site regarding Katrina, it reads: “President Obama will keep the broken promises made by President Bush to rebuild New Orleans and the Gulf Coast. He and Vice President Biden will take steps to ensure that the federal government will never again allow such catastrophic failures in emergency planning and response to occur.”

“President Obama swiftly responded to Hurricane Katrina,” the statement on the site continues. “Citing the Bush Administration’s ‘unconscionable ineptitude’ in responding to Hurricane Katrina, then-Senator Obama introduced legislation requiring disaster planners to take into account the specific needs of low-income hurricane victims.”

The site also points out that Obama “visited thousands of Hurricane survivors in the Houston Convention Center and later took three more trips to the region” and worked with the Congressional Black Caucus to help rebuild in the aftermath of Katrina.

In interviews prior to leaving the White House, Bush defended the federal government’s response to the hurricane.

“The truth of the matter is the response was pretty darn quick if you think about the fact that the Coast Guard and a lot of brave kids were pulling 30,000 people off of roofs as soon as the storm passed, as soon as they found people on those roofs,” Bush said during an interview with CNN last week.

Bush also said his lowest point in office came when he heard “people saying George Bush is a racist because of the response” to the hurricane.

Democratic Immunity

The continuing situation in many Black communities force me to introduce another "focus word" to my vocabulary: Democratic Immunity.

It is a take off on "Diplomatic Immunity" defined as such:

Diplomatic immunity is a form of legal immunity and a policy held between governments, which ensures that diplomats are given safe passage and are considered not susceptible to lawsuit or prosecution under the host country's laws (although they can be expelled). It was agreed as international law in the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations (1961), though the concept and custom have a much longer history. Many principles of diplomatic immunity are now considered to be customary law. Diplomatic immunity as an institution developed to allow for the maintenance of government relations, including during periods of difficulties and even armed conflict. When receiving diplomats—formally, representatives of the sovereign (head of state)—the receiving head of state grants certain privileges and immunities to ensure that they may effectively carry out their duties, on the understanding that these will be provided on a reciprocal basis. As one article put it: "So why do we agree to a system in which we're dependent on a foreign country's whim before we can prosecute a criminal inside our own borders? The practical answer is: because we depend on other countries to honor our own diplomats' immunity just as scrupulously as we honor theirs."

In the Black community I define "Democratic Immunity" as follows:

The allowance of certain behaviors among elected or activist Democrats that would otherwise be grounds for a purge of the individual and the party by the Black voter and/or resident if such actions were conducted by an individual outside of the community's scope protection. Such a pass is given to this individual because the Black community assumes this person has greater utility to its general interests and thus they should not be taken out for such an infraction. The standards and integrity of the Black community is lowered. Once the operative understands how the game is played - there is no turning back. The community will be the net loser.

Point Of Evidence #1: Clayton County Georgia

Reporting on the continuing drama in Clayton County Georgia is like reaching my hand into a small barrel of big apples. The content is so plentiful it has become too easy.

AJC: Clayton County residents Tuesday accused the county commission of turning into something like the former school board: a group of bickering politicians who wasted taxpayers’ money.

First some background. Clayton County is south of Atlanta/Fulton County. Approximately 6 years ago the county's population tipped and it became metro Atlanta's second "majority Black county". Subsequent elections saw the Black Democrats work to purge the "Good ole boys" out of office. They were White Democrats by the way. Today the county is a 100% Democratic governed county. The people have spoken.

Since this time long running battles with the school board (that preceded the population shift) have boiled over resulting in school superintendents departing and the final fatal blow - the loss of accreditation upon the school board by SACS. The entire school board was purged - all 9 Democrats being booted by a judge or the voters.

The election of 2008 exposed the "Democrat on Democrat", clique based infighting that is peppering the governance of the county. The sheriff was deposed. There was a battle of the century for county board chair and a few board seats.

Last week the county board chair filed a lawsuit against the board asking an external judge to define the balance of power between the chair and the board.

The article tells of how some residents of the county are striking back. Upon seeing the continued fighting among their government and noting the damage to the credibility of the county in regards to its schools - they are speaking out. They have asked those who have been given the authority by the voters to be mindful of the county's best interests rather than their egos.

Clayton County has experienced a substantial exodus over the past few years as many of these issues have come to a head. Three counties to the south of Clayton - Fayette, Henry and Coweta - all three Republican dominated counties have experienced an influx of former Clayton residents. They have decided to move rather than fight.

As a resident of Fayette County I know of a different story in regards to those who have departed. Many African-Americans in particular have departed Clayton County and the Democrats to live among their conservative, Republican ideological adversaries - thus escaping the chaos of their former progressive bastion. In doing so they have tacitly noted their preferences with respect to the consumption of a certain living order. In effect they like the standard of living that these areas afford them.

Just as the blooms upon a tree come spring time allows the observer to determine the type of tree is in view - so is the case with many of those residents up have taken up residence in "ideological enemy territory" come election time. In many northern Fayettte communities where Black residents have migrated to - they have shown to still prefer a Democratic straight ticket despite the fact that "their party" has injured their interests in the area they previously lived within.

Democratic Immunity is a fit label in that the instantiation of total Democratic rule and the resulting consequences that triggered their relocation was not enough for them to choose to VOTE OUT the offending individuals and their party. Instead the voter choosed to MOVE OUT and gain protection in a new zone. Now that they are a minority ideology in their new found location they continue to vote for their beloved party.

The proper question is not "Why do they continue to vote for the Democrats despite their new location". The key question to ask this person is "Why are your living preferences so out of out of line with your electorial choices?"

What caused you to uproot yourself in pursuit of your mental peace rather than working to uproot the offending political machine that was so distrubing to you?

To be clear - My goal IS NOT to provoke Blacks to vote for the Republican Party.
My only goal is to have the Democratic Party purged from the racial nucleus of Black people. Once this party and its machine is put in its proper place it is my belief that my people will begin to start acting in alignment with our goals in the cultural space now that the American political space has been scaled back into its proper placement.

"Black On Black Murder" - The Civil Rights Violation Not Labeled As Such

President Obama's Civil Rights Agenda

As I perused the "Change Has Come" website of the newly christened president I look for the major themes contained within. Since the civil rights community believed that their interests have not been addressed for these past 8 years, I was curious as to how a more favorable president to them would handle the key Civil Rights Violation that even they are loathed to talk about:

Black on Black Homicides

In so many other areas the notion of the "disproportionate representation of Black people" would be used as proof in itself of the lingering racism that is present within this nation.

For some strange reason - when Blacks are also the perpetrators of these murders - the Black victim's "civil rights" get jettisoned as an important issue for consideration as a "civil rights violation".

It is also true that the race of the victim is of relevance to the definition of a "civil rights violation". A Black perpetrator is a disqualifier for the offense being called a "civil rights violation".

The Inspection Of Barack Obama's So-Called Civil Rights Agenda

"The teenagers and college students who left their homes to march in the streets of Birmingham and Montgomery; the mothers who walked instead of taking the bus after a long day of doing somebody else's laundry and cleaning somebody else's kitchen -- they didn't brave fire hoses and Billy clubs so that their grandchildren and their great-grandchildren would still wonder at the beginning of the 21st century whether their vote would be counted; whether their civil rights would be protected by their government; whether justice would be equal and opportunity would be theirs.... We have more work to do."

In as much as the Black community is the disproportionate victims of homicides - where will the outrage be that this subject is not contained in the agenda for Barack Obama?

Is a Black person only a legitimate victim of a civil rights violation when a qualifying assailant does the attacking?

How is it that AIDS and Adoption rights make it into the agenda but not the low Homicide Closure Rates and the systematic witness intimidation stemming from "Stop Snitching" does not?

Can Black Americans Not Support President Barack Obama And STILL Be Operating In The Best Interests Of The Black Community?

To bottom line it for everyone -this Newsweek video makes the case that the Black vote for Barack Obama was the completion of a cycle between Fredrick Douglass, Booker T Washington and the present point in our journey as a people.

This point is the most common viewpoint in the debate.

What about ME and other Blacks who did not vote for Barack Obama?

On the one hand I allow my personal knowledge of my convictions to reject the Political Machine that Barack Obama is a part of. In doing so can't it be said that I have chosen to vote for "content of character" over "race"?

From where I stand the machine that Barack Obama is a part of ALREADY has dominate control over the places where Black and working class people live in their highest concentrations. Where as those who control the narrative like to point to Bush as the source of their troubles - the fact is that they had major problems before evil Bush stepped into office and, no doubt, their troubles will continue.

The key difference in this narrative now that Obama is in office will be
  • Bush has destroyed this country
  • Everything that Barack Obama is doing is in the name of REPAIRING what Bush has destroyed
It will be a long time coming before the Black community critically evaluates the results from Obama's policies in a compartmentalized, stand alone perspective. If his efforts fail to reduce the financial angst OR if the gross increases in spending in turn leads to inflation and rising interests rates - they are not going to hit him for that which his policies have created anew. They will evaluate his fidelity to their left wing, progressive biased preferences.

One only needs to make note of the occasions when the left has attacked Obama thus far. It is not because of objective failure. It is only because he has gone "right". For him this means having shifted to the center in relative terms. If Obama puts forth every single leftist policy in the book but the economic numbers remain the same - he will be promoted as a hero in their books.

They are not interested in entry into 'The Promised Land' in absolute terms as measured on the streets. They are interested in advancing their POWER and their IDEOLOGY with the HOPES that this imposition will change their lot in life. They are always in pursuit of progress - on their terms.
