Let me start off by saying - Sean Combs is a private citizen and is entitled to his own opinion. He can also make a song on any subject that he chooses. Only the buying public decides if this song is worthy of their dollars and their attention.
With that said - my onus in not upon Sean Combs and his desire to be "adopted" by the Obama family. (Obama the politician). Instead I use this as yet another example of how those who shower the Black community with messages are motivated based on their ideology, so much of which is drawn from the political domain.
We will not see the following titles in Mr Combs' library over the coming years:
- "Father - You Promised Us No More War As I Wore The Peace Sign On Your Campaign Shirt"
- "Dad Can I Have An Allowance Because I Am Unemployed? - Just Like So Many Other Brothers"
- "I Am The Prodigal Son - Your Party Controls The Educational System Where My People Live And Yet We Still Suffer"
Recall a few years ago we did get treated to a political rap song called "Please Mr President".
- A Song You Would NEVER Hear If There Is Ever A "President Barack Obama" (Lyrics To Janelle Monae song)
- Pink & The Indigo Girls 'Dear Mr President'
Pink said "You've come a long way from WHISKEY AND COCAINE".
Yup - They are going to make a remix against Obama any day now.
