"So Are You Saying That The Black Voter Is Stupid And Don't Know Our Best Interests?"

Some of you have no idea about how much my model of  the thoughts and behavior of the forces upon which I am most focused upon is correct despite your claims otherwise.

This post is my opportunity to fully articulate and then rebut a poster who has read my analysis from a few months ago regarding the Atlanta's mayor's race and how outright "racialism" and partisanship had to be brought into the election as a means of distinguishing the candidates and playing toward their respective bases.

Here is the post in question from a poster named Anonymous.  (I have several Anons that post and I wish they'd get a name so I can distinguish between them).

LOL! It is funny to me how white people will conveniently play the race card when African-Americans vote for an African-American candidate over a white candidate. I never hear any mention from white people of race being a factor when white people vote for a white candidate over an African-American candidate, even though this happens FAR more often in this society than the reverse. You are basically implying that African-American people are not smart enough to vote for what is in their best interest and only see the color of the skin, using that as the main criteria with which they make their final decision. African-Americans will do what they usually do in any election and vote for the person who they believe it is in their best interest to vote for. In the history of this country, African-Americans have NEVER had a problem voting for a white person for public office. The proof of this is that there have been 43 presidential elections where African-Americans voted for white candidates. In all of those elections white presidents were put into office with the help of African-American voters. How many African-American governors have been elected in the state of Georgia by the white majority? I know the answer . . . do you? If not, look it up. I have relatives in states like Mississippi, Florida, Pennsylvania, and Kentucky. How many African-American governors have been elected in those states by the white majority? I know the answer . . .do you? If not, look it up. But let an African-American majority elect an African-American over a white and all of a sudden race is a factor. White people PLEASE!!! LOL!!! Get a grip on reality and stop playing the RACE CARD! This country has 400 years of example I can give where whites have routinely and systematically NOT voted for an African-American just because they were African-American. Again, stop playing the RACE CARD!

After reading this post and the charges lobbed within it I feel a sense that I am one step ahead of these arguments and I only need to reach back on the shelf of my previous posts to argue my points.

Notice that the poster argues that the "Black voter is not a 'racist voter'.......look at all of the WHITE FOLKS we have voted for".    The poster has no idea how many times I have heard this argument and have made the case that THIS IS NOT THE RELEVANT POINT to prove their case.  I will set up the framework to rebut this in a second.   The additional rhetorical point that is important to the poster is to "Put White People On Trial" - thus shifting the focus upon them as the central means of arguing and then obfuscating the point.  Keep in mind that it has been a given during this same period of time in American history that the "White Voter Is A RACIST Voter" and that this is the key point of the Civil Rights Movement to have him demote RACE as a key deciding factor as proof of his progression.  Again more on this later.

What Is The Black Best Interest?

Please note that despite the frequent claim of some people that they represent the "Black Best Interests" per their political agenda AND that their adversaries are a threat to these interests............so rare is the case in which they start out by DEFINING what the "Black Permanent Interests are".

I find it critical that we clearly articulate this as the pivot point from which all other arguments flow.  From this point my own argument is made most clear.

  • Safe Streets - upon which our community can congregate to build a strong social fabric in peace absent  a persistent fog of terror which represses such agenda
  • Quality Schools - within which the next generation of professional service agents that will populate our community and thus maintain a high standard of living within
  • Thriving Local Economies - in which the human and economic resources contained within are rationally aligned to provide trade amongst the people within and afford individuals the opportunity to employ and expand their human talents
  • Healthy Lifestyles - in which messages promoted within the community are in line with the people living long, healthy and disease-free lives as possible
In my research this list can endure beyond any ideological or partisan preferences upon which these foundational elements are brought into existence.

Further clarity is had by the communication of the structure upon which this list of "Permanent Interests" fit.
They are merely "mission statements" which are necessarily general in nature.  They should not contain "methods".
  • Foundational Goals =  The Mission Statement
  • Ideology = A Methodology  (ie: Progressive or Conservative)
  • Political Party = A Vehicle To Execute An Ideology (ie: Democrat or Republican)
With this foundational framework in hand - let's plug the poster's argument into this structure.

What Exactly Is The Black Voter Voting For?  What Is He Repudiating when he votes (or chooses not to vote)?

I am always amused by the necessity for someone to ask the rhetorical question "So you think that Black people are too stupid to know our own best interests?".  The purpose of this statement is well placed.  It is merely a "Group Think Enforcement 101".  Either one accepts the aggregate choices of the majority because the majority (popular) view proves validity (or it would not be majority).   Anyone who disagrees with the MAJORITY must be concluding that this majority is "stupid".  That it is out of touch with some reference of real world consciousness.

This is why it is so important for me to craft the framework and analysis that I have articulated above.   "I lose" if I am made to fall into the rhetorical rut that is contained in the paragraph that is immediately above.  When I am made to functionally "vote my race" then I have tacitly turned over my God given province of intelligence and rationality to the group.

The argument of the group (and its operatives) is "We are providing you with protection.  What would you be without us?".   For the Black American who is being lashed with such a question by a person who is likely a "Progressive" and a "Democratic Party loyalist" this prospective 'wayward sheep" who is considering straying from the flock he will be reminded of how vulnerable a single sheep is in this cruel world.
  • You might be subject to racism and we are not going to come to your defense
  • In fact it might be good for you to suffer some racism because such an assault would cause you to appreciate the group protection that we offer (Yes this direct statement has been wished upon me)
In truth - in addition to the lingering threats of racism that is in existence in this nation, for the "wayward sheep" a significant portion of the assault that he is likely to face comes directly from those who are running the protection racket.   I frequently point out that the "wayward sheep" that are called names within the media channels of the Black community often are called names that used to be heard by a Black man just prior to his lynching upon a tree.  Some people don't realize how closely their own antics resemble those of their long time adversaries when they are similarly threatened.

Thus it is important for me to reference my analysis and criticism of the "Black voter" based on a fixed reference that can withstand any ideological or partisan challenge.  I believe that the list of "Permanent Interests" does just that.

So my ultimate argument, once removed from the molestation of my debate adversaries is:
Despite the INTENTIONS of achieving his "best interests" via his voting in the "American Political Domain" the organized voting effort - as ordered by the "Black Political Establishment" has thus far failed to bring forth the desired "Permanent Interests" as listed above.  In face the act of voting has actually exposed the flaws in some of the agenda elements of this establishment.  In as much as elections place people into power per the popular mandate and these forces are in line with the prevailing ideology - it stands to reason that the fundamental character of this very agenda can be measured BY LOOKING AT THE PLACES WHERE IT IS IN FACT IN POWER.

The chief rebuttal to this "threat" of "Placing The Progressive Agenda On Trial" is for my debate adversaries to do two things:
  1. Focus Upon Their INTENTIONS to do good for the Black Community
  2. Quickly "Hot Potato" the conversation back over to the Republican adversary and what he "has done to assault Black people" (ie: "The Southern Strategy) or "How things would not have been any different IF he were in power over the Black community today"
One would be stunned to see just how easily scripted the antics of certain "Defenders of the Status Quo" can be modeled.  The main reason why I choose to engage in debate with "these people" is because it helps me to construct and refine my model of them and their likely "chess moves" once confronted with the stunning charge that "YOUR ideology is indeed popular within the Black community and thus you must also assume some accountability as the INCUMBENT POWER where it counts the most".

The Permanent Chase / The Permanent Struggle

The important concept for the "Black Political Establishment" is to put forth the aura that there is a amorphous enemy that is desperately trying to "Turn Back The Clock" upon Black America.  If they had their way - We'd be slaves again.  The purpose of this tactic is to create a point of UNITY.  With this as the permanent threat to Black America it is hoped that the prospective "wayward sheep" who dares ask questions of the establishment instead redirect his angst upon this amorphous EXTERNAL threat who, if focus is removed from will be the ultimate winner.

A long time debate adversary of mine, "Noah The African" voiced the African tale which said: "As the grasshoppers quarrel amongst themselves......the crow's who watch from above have their stomachs filled".  Ironically this otherwise valuable articulation of the need for proper focus is USED as a ploy by certain operatives to remove "management criticism" that, if accepted would result in "course correction".

Sadly and shamefully some of the key forces who struggled against such intolerance for "constructive feedback" when it was the White Establishment in this nation who resisted the erection of an open and transparent means by which such criticism could be channeled are equally hostile to those who scrutinize them.  Such criticism must be framed as a will to undercut all that they have done.  Thus only an "agent of the enemy" would make such criticism and thus he must be treated as the enemy.

In truth this intolerance for reporting of and criticism of the "real world results" that have been achieved as the groups INTENTIONS have been executed upon is merely evidence of the immaturity of the system by which such concerns are processed and evaluated.  As with many national leaders on the continent of Africa today - those with absolute power realize that there is little which forces them to humble their authority to the open and transparent will of the people who have made an honest assessment of the results.  In their similar self-serving manner they choose to retain their power while subjugating democratic expression via the construction of a democratic framework for processing them.  "Group Thuggism" and "Group Scorn" are the tactics that are deployed in the vacuum of an open and transparent system.  Our community deploys "Attack Sheep Dogs" which are used to bite the "wayward sheep" on the back of the neck and drag him back into the pack. More important than dragging the sheep back in line is the necessity to make this rebuke as public as possible so that all others who dare think of doing the same will be made to see the fatal consequences.

The Land Grab On Behalf Of A Force That Is Ultimately External

All of the tactics that have been modeled above have one distinct purpose for the "Black Establish" as it operates today.  In as much as they have fused their agenda for the "INTENTION of advancement of Black Interests" to the Democratic Party and its Progressive (leftist) bundle of policies the real world functional result is to expand the footprint of left-wing/Progressive control over a larger footprint as expressed through the Democratic Party.  This point is incontrovertible and easily proven.

In as much as "The Democratic Party" wins - "Black people WIN" per this linkage.

It is important for the Black Establishment then to point to our RACIAL ADVANCEMENTS within this nation by pointing to the "Black Progressive Democratic" elected officials who's portraits now hang on the wall.  In truth this evidence is borne out more clearly by:

  • Pointing to the Schools In Our Community who's "academic culture" they now define
  • Pointing to the "Criminal Justice" statistics within our community - making note of the question "Do the places that have a favorable mayor and police chief differ in the arrest patterns than in places that have 'hostile conservatives' in place?"
  • Pointing to the Business Districts in the places that they now control.  The very buildings that the civil rights struggle pounded upon for admission - are now enveloped inside of the land mass that is now controlled by "favorable people".  The question is "Is there business being transacted in these buildings" OR "did it turn out that it wasn't mere access to THE BUILDING that was at play in the debate in the first place?  Since the building is still there but the commerce has slowed drastically - the point is self evident
  • Pointing to how the "Social Mores" that are debated in political theory actually play out on the streets that are now controlled by these favorable forces.  Has the movement to disassemble the strictures that were once erected but which were seen as arbitrary resulted in an accentuation of the human resources within or has it allowed them to become more distracted and threatened by their base pursuit of temporary gratification and the pitfalls that are associated?

Thus the point is quite clear about what the operative must do.   Above all else he must control the key measures of success by which his agenda is measured.  As with the recent excitement over the election of President Barack Obama - the momentum forward must be rooted in the dawning of new possibilities that a favorable person in a particular seat means to our HOPE - rather than being rooted in an observation of what the machine that he or she is attached to has already accomplished and thus serves as a resume for why this machine should be expanded.  There is no better example to make reference of than the City of Chicago to buttress my argument.  Per my research there is but one Republican elected official in a key position over the city (one GOP Alderman out of a panel of 50) and he was put forth by a small enclave of his own people who's views he represents.  Thus on paper Chicago which has favorable control over the city, the state and now the nation - should be the "Reference Architecture" of what we as Black people can expect upon the ultimate victory that the Black Establishment will render on our behalf.

Sadly - the news from a few months ago in which a 19 year old Black man was clubbed to death in Chicago provided a national spotlight upon the condition of the Schools, the violence on the street and the dysfunctional "social mores" that, if realigned would cast an improved consciousness upon the people who's aggregate actions cannot be corrected by an external political process that resides in the 'American Political Domain'.

My Voice Is Merely An Aggregation Of Your Own Grievances

In closing - it is stunning to me how articulate the Black community is in expressing our grievances in a transparent manner......AS LONG AS it is done outside of the context of AMERICAN POLITICS.   Once someone (like me) who is an purposeful silent observer in these dialogues among Black people (so as not to skew the conversation) dares speak up and begs the question about how they continue to VOTE AS THEY DO AS AN EXPRESSION OF THEIR DESIRES FOR A FIX IN THEIR COMMUNITY when it is clear that their communities are ALREADY controlled by the forces that they keep placing their HOPE upon.

It is clear that the "Merchants of HOPE" successfully exploit the desires of these same people to have their conditions change.  Thus their INTENTIONS are attractive even if their RESULTS have not translated into the promised bounty.

The missing link, Black America, is HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT.    The present orientation is to have these elected representatives "exit the fort" to go and acquire resources which will be later rained down within the fort.  Instead of consummately focusing upon aligning the key institutions "inside of the fort" to insure that they are aligned so that the desired standard of living is acquired most expressly via the people who stand to benefit the most in such an environment - this constant outsourcing of the obligation to deliver the standard of living that is present "inside of the fort" over to external authority is the root of the dysfunction.

The Democratic Party wins because it can continue to grow in POWER, acquiring more land mass while the blame for any shortcomings is placed on this amorphous external "them".  This is how the interview that I recently posted with NAACP's Jealous and the "Democrat Who Is Black" Dr Ronald Walters was so telling. They were able to "talk past the local Democratic Machine that runs BLACK MAJORITY SCHOOLS today" and instead place the burden of the failures of these schools upon America.   Functionally there is no consequence nor benefit to the aggregation of local power over these key institutions in Black America.  In as much as the Black Establishment is not going to hold themselves accountable.......more importantly......in as much as the "Black Rank And File" is not going to hold the Black Establishment accountable for that which is triggering these grievances a circular reference is created.

The presence of GRIEVANCE with the successful redirection of the cause of these grievances upon the "Amorphous THEY" (ie: "Slavery of the past", "Republicans of the Present" who don't live within the district, Capitalism which they hate but seek to make use of the proceeds that it generates) functionally results in one thing:

More Powerful Democrats
Temporarily Appeased Black Folks
Further Erosion Of Our Key Institutions To Which We Look Toward For Our Civic Services

But ultimately "A Nationalized Order For Resource Redistribution In Order To Glaze Over The Local Incompetencies That Exist"

Thus the "Black Establishment" is not unique in their "Blackness".  They are instead deliberate in their Leftist thought.  More than 70 years ago the prolific journalist George S Schuyler called them out and exposed them as their true selves.  He called them "Lampblack" meaning they were undistinctly "America" in their structure but painted Black on the outside as a facade of their true selves - leftists!

In as much as Progressivism is not organic - as long as the Black Establishment never has to face its own self in the mirror in which ITS OWN POLICIES and ECONOMICS are the prevailing force to define the standard of living over the domain in question and instead are allowed to continue on their expansionary course of "intentions to deliver for the Black community" they will remain in favor in the minds of the average Black American who's VOTE in the American Political Domain is his VOTE for "Racial Progress" for no other reason than the infrastructure in the "Community Cultural Consciousness and Competence" domain has been so largely neglected.
