Such is the case with these words from the Black opinion site "Your Black World"
CNN, MSNBC, FOX and other networks will never tell the Black story the way Black people can. None of the major media outlets have a single news show with an African American as the primary host (in other words, there is no black voice to counter Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck or Nancy Grace). We at Your Black World are not against the idea of racial inclusion, we simply want to fight racial exclusion. Black Media is needed to tell Black stories that African Americans want to hear. It is meant to allow Black people to have a fair and accurate stake in social commentary, the choice of Black and American leaders and issues affecting the Black community. We are the voice for the voiceless, the home for the homeless, built on a platform of unconditional, unrelenting BLACK LOVE. No matter who you are or where you come from, if you are down for Black People, then you're down with us!
And there it is.
You see - from where I stand in defense of the "Black Permanent Interests" I wonder:
Who will stand as the voice to COUNTER the views of Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson , Roland Martin, Cornel West, the Congressional Black Caucus and other Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chaser operatives. They PURPORT to represent the "Black Best Interests" but to date our community lacks the architecture by which these INTENTIONS are vetted as true.
Black Voices says
- They Are For Racial Inclusion - Yet there have been several blog posts on various BQPFRC blog sites complaining about all of the BLACK CONSERVATIVES on television beyond their proportion of the Black population. I question if they don't mean that they are advocating for more "Black Progressive" voices only.
- They claim they want "Fair and Accurate Reporting". I ask that you watch an episode of "Washington Week with Roland Martin" and see if this show is not in more violation of this principle than any "Fox News" show that you can find.
- They want the right to choose any Black Leader and that they have "unrelenting Black Love". Our community remains in the condition that it is in some areas DESPITE having "Black Leadership". In as much as these forces promote skin color and ideological litmus tests - these leaders' seats are secure, regardless of the outcomes within.
It is the entire line of thinking from "Your Black World", "The Root.com"," The NAACP" and others that needs to be put on trial.
We have reached a check point in our development where there is sufficient control over our communities and the media sources presenting on it that improved results should be had.
Those who push transparency in government and corporations need to open their own books at this point.
