Robert Mugabe Asks For "Unity" Rather Than Marketing His "Effectiveness"

The proper understanding of the tactics of Robert Mugabe is critical. This is because they are used so frequently by the Black Establishment in America.

Notice how Mugabe argues that his party ZANU-PF - the ruling party and "the establishment" needs to stick together. The consequence of their fracture is that the opposition forces will come in to threaten THEIR PARTY'S POWER.

Why didn't President Mugabe sell his party by:
  • Pointing to the vast economic success that it has rendered since the last election?
  • Point to the new freedoms that his country men have access to because he believes in openness and transparency?
  • Point to how the police forces in the nation are reporting that there is peace through the land and thus they don't have to engage the masses as they did before because most people are happy and prosperous?
These selling points which most political parties or other factions typically have to offer up to "justify their continued existence" are no where to be found in Mugabe's speech.

He is not pushing for excellence or effectiveness over his nation.
He is only interested in retaining POWER.
Those who he is talking to are CO-CONSPIRATORS along with him.  They know the condition of the nation's economy.  They know the brutality of the police forces.  They know that thousands and thousands of their country-men have departed, exiting to South African, Botswana or beyond to escape the rule of Mugabue and ZANU-PF.

When a force is allowed to stay "unified" yet are ultimately accountable to anything other than effective results - this is what happens.

UNITY ALONE IS NOT AN EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT TOOL FOR PRODUCING EXCELLENCE
It mostly produces complicit silence.
