I will allow you to click on the link above and form your own opinions about the "protection" afforded to the "voiceless and the vulnerable" rendered by Mrs Walters and the rest of the Congressional Black Caucus.
The key distinction between my ideological and political outlook can be boiled down to one key construct:
Beyond your propensity to "SPEAK" for the voiceless or to "DEFEND" the vulnerable from attack from an agreed upon adversary.........please detail the evidence that you are providing "voice lessons" and/or "economic martial arts training" with the goal of allowing these subjects to one day SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES?
In essence some people are "Serial Feeders" of the "Least Of These". The protections rendered present interval do little to position these subjects for self-sufficiency in the next interval.
Worse yet - as this political machine obtains more POWER based on them having sold the masses about the care that they have for them - the institutions that they now control are not improved their capacity to "heal them" nor strategically prepare the next generation for the future battles.
In essence the "Serial Feeding" IS the goal of this particular ideology.
They are in it for "the struggle" rather than "the ultimate fix".
Once the aspired after plateau is achieved (typically on election night as the returns come in and another portrait is hung in the galley) their "stretch goals" typically entail the grab for MORE POWER - not the measurable delivery of what has been promised.
Until the masses universally agree to no longer be "Voiceless and Vulnerable" and repudiate these words of INFERIORITY from anyone who dispenses them on their behalf - their condition is not going to change.
