Health Care Proposal Is $1,200 Billion - This Figure Means Nothing To People Who Are Seeking A Net Benefit Though

MSNBC: Amount is far higher than the $900 billion cited as the president’s price tag

Go back and take a view of my video report from the TVOne show "Washington Watch". I listened to this panel of Black folks detailing how "the Public Option" would benefit Black folks and the poor. Not one single person detailed the aggregate costs of the package and how the nation is going to have to ingest massive deficit spending at a time of massive debts.

I believe that we are going through a "union contract signature period" in America at this time. Indeed the union might receive a signed contract to receive expanded resources. They don't make note of the endurance and viability of what the deal that was cut. Just as the UAW contract signed with General Motors several years ago is now not worth the paper that it was written on because the company which provided the resources went bankrupt - we as a nation is streaming to this same end - insolvency.

Actually we are already insolvent. The national debt is now $13,000 billion and is projected to grow to $20,000 billion in 10 years. The only thing that is saving us is that we have creditworthiness - for now.

From a strategic standpoint I don't understand why a "conscious people" who is aware of all of the threats - past, present and future - is not "splitting the difference". Why not use this "temporary spending" - per the fact that it is going to one day vanish - to build up the competencies of the people themselves to deliver forth the needed medical care to the people.

When the spending dries up - no person who was trained in the medical profession will have their knowledge confiscated from them when the nation goes into receivership.
