BLAX News Network - Local TV News Muckrackes About Brokedown Abulances At Government Hospital
After years of seeing Social Justice Actor-vists fighting against the larger government for failing to fully fund Atlanta's last resort government hospital - Grady Medical Center - it is stunning to hear their silence over the issue of broken down ambulances that put people at risk.
The local investigative reporters have proven themselves to be far more valuable these days at agitating the people in power in order to shake loose the responses that the community expects from these government services. Sadly and unfortunately the local Black Establishment is too bound to the government officials to go on the attack against them. It is not good to have these tensions created by fighting for the community's best interests to spill over into the state Democratic convention meeting. Thus these independent television entities are worth their weight in gold.

"Sadly and unfortunately the local Black Establishment is too bound to the government officials to go on the attack against them."
Can you explain in more detail what you mean by this?
Love the post and all the best
I am giving props to the Investigative Reporters from the local television stations in Atlanta. In the year 2009 they, NOT the "Community Activists" or "Social Justice" activists in Atlanta have gone after public officials on the following subjects that had a direct and negative impact upon the residents of Atlanta and a disproportionate impact upon the Black residents:
* Illegal Dumping Of Trash and the failure of the City of Atlanta to arrest violators
* Illegal Dumping of Trash and the failure of the City of Atlanta to clean up the dump sites - many of which are on the streets and have rat infestations
* Abandoned Homes (mostly Foreclosures) in which the Atlanta Police failed to crack down on illegal and illicit activities which made the community unsafe (ie: prostitution out of these homes, drug dealing, squatting - where the residence is put up for rent by someone who is not the owner but is taking the money)
* Clayton County lost its school accreditation
AND MOST OF ALL:
* The most violent black in Atlanta - The corner of "Joseph E Lowery Blvd and Joseph E Boone Dr". Credit to CBS Atlanta News for going after the police chief asking WHAT IS HE DOING TO KEEP THE PEOPLE SAFE.
To directly answer your question - Atlanta is 100% run by DEMOCRATS. As is the case in Dekalb County and Clayton County.
The activist are also DEMOCRATS.
The activists who PURPORT to represent the "Best Interests of the Black community" are loathed to attack their DEMOCRATIC PARTY party mates over these problems listed above and risk having them become WEAKENED and thus risk having
1) Republicans
2) White Folks Of Any Party
get back in office.
Ironically - what is done in the name of "Racial Unity" and "Hanging More Black Portraits Upon The Wall" as proof of our racial advancement is actually a PROTECTION RACKET that undercuts our interests.
Until there is a TRANSPARENT organization that is not biased as such (ie: seeking advantage for their party and ideology) the ironic consequence will be that they will continue building unfettered POWER as more of our interests as a people are eroded.
I agree with everything you've stated and I've become aware that something in the city of atlanta has GOT to change, or our city is going to go further down the tubes. Ever since the Olympics it's gotten worse not better.
The whole reason to have the Olympics was to become the "Little Apple of the South"?
Now, people just aren't even interested in coming to our city because of crime and the dastardly way it looks and acts.
It's humiliating.
Super Gurl:
The ironic thing about it all is that the main people suffering from the present situation are those who are unwilling to take a stand for their own interests.
I AM NOT ASKING ANYONE TO PUT REPUBLICANS IN.
I am ONLY asking people to learn MANAGEMENT SKILLS.
These politicians are very perceptive. When they can pretend like they can step off of the stage, into the common people, pick up a sign and protest against the SYSTEM that is failing the people......when THEY ARE THE SYSTEM!!!!!.....you know something is awry.
I am not going to lie to you: I envy their gonads.
When the city council man of the "most dangerous zipcode in Atlanta" (per WGKA's research) can put up a billboard that says "WE still have a lot of work to do"....and have people continue to follow him rather than THROW HIM OUT ON HIS EAR - that is POWER!!!!
The masses believe that the distant forces in city hall are "failing them" and that he is their representative, traveling far to speak in their voice.
This is the disposition that some people like to place their constituents in. In summary: CONSUMERS who should be thankful for all that the representative has done on their behalf.
All the while the potential of that same district has been squandered. Instead of building up solid neighborhoods where the people pitch in to build up the community that they want - the spirit of CONSUMERISM is cultivated.
I have misjudged the staying power of certain ideas and certain people. I thought that people had a lower tolerance level of "being sick and tired of being sick and tired".
Even after a full compliment of the people that THEY PUT INTO POWER are in place and they STILL have major grievances - many of them are unaware that there is a need to roll out a new management framework by which they can actually accomplish what they home to receive by VOTING.
We have too many people "Working For The Party" instead of for their own best interests.
