The "Democrats who are Black" are at it again.
They are making full use of their full and unfettered access to the crown jewels of the Black community, working hard to have US 'Black people' come through for the Democrats.
They are not above telling us how much the Democrats have done for us while we were oppressed and that, perish the thought the "Klan" might regain power and enslave us once again......if we are not loyal, unquestioning Democrats.
Do me a far - please be more detailed in your pronouncements. When you say "we" say "We Democrats". You have little interest in advancing the Black community "by any means necessary".
You only wish to have more "portraits of Black people hanging on the wall" and a strong Democratic party - the sight of which are supposed to bring strength to the Black community from its sight.
Bill Thompson will win IF WE VOTE

With just a few days left until the election, there is still a race to run and win. Bill Thompson will win this election—if we as a community come out and vote for him. It is our election to loose.
It has been a long 16 years since we had the first African-American in City Hall. It has been a long 16 years since we really had a say in what happened in this city. It has been a long 16 years since the powers that be really believed we mattered, and it has been a long 16 years since there was someone running City Hall who actually knew what it meant to be a Black New Yorker or really cared.
We have an opportunity to do what so many have said is impossible. We can elect the second Black mayor of New York City. To do this, we must get to the polls.
It will be in the neighborhoods where this election is won. Whether you are talking about the turf of Central Harlem, East Harlem, Washington Heights, the Lower East Side, Central Brooklyn, Corona, East Elmhurst, the Bronx, Southeast Queens, Flushing or the Eastern Shore of Staten Island—Black, Latino and Asian New Yorkers, joined by progressive whites—can and will make a Thompson mayoral win a reality.
Some are saying that Thompson is behind in the polls—but we ask, what polls? The large media organizations that usually do polls—The Daily News, The New York Times, CBS News, NY1—have not done any polling in this race. Moreover, one of the two polls that some commentators are relying on had such a small sampling that polling experts said the results are very suspect and unreliable.
But as a community, we know these things. We know that polls seem to always underestimate our voting strength. Some say that we are under-polled because we are hard to reach. There is some truth to that—African-Americans, Latinos and younger voters are a bit harder to reach because they have trended toward using cell phones rather than landlines as their primary phones, and pollsters cannot reach voters on cell phones.
Others say and believe that pollsters never really have worked very hard to make sure that we were accurately included in samplings, and this, too, is also easy for us to believe because we know from U.S. census counts that Black, Latinos and Asians always seemed to be underrepresented and undercounted.
But the power lies in your hands. You have the ballot, and you can put the nails in the Bloomberg campaign coffin.
Ultimately, we control our own destiny and, together, can deliver Bill Thompson to City Hall!
Bill Thompson believes in us because he is one of us: a man of the people. He believes that we need to have a say in our children’s education, and he believes that New Yorkers deserve to live in a place that is safe (including safe for our young men to walk without being harassed) and that we can afford and that we are not being pushed out of by wealthy developers.
We need to go to the polls next Tuesday, November 3, 2009, and say that it is time for a change. We voted for term limits, and Mayor Bloomberg, your term is up. Together, we can take back City Hall and our city. Vote Bill Thompson.
