Black Commentator - Fear Of A Black President By David A Love


I love the web site "Black Commentator.com".  I have been monitoring and commenting upon them for years. 
They serve as a key reference point for me. If I agree with their position then I need to look at the bottom of my shoe and figure out how I am going to clean off what I have stepped in.

Aside from a few propaganda blogs that come to mind there are few psuedo-news analysis sites that come to mind that are as bombastic as is "Black Commentator". (well except for the spin off "Black Agenda Report" that was created after the founders of BC divorced and went their separate ways)  

Over the years I have loved the editorial cartoons on Black Commentator. Though i imagine that the scene in their offices to be strange. Imagine if your office was plastered with editorial cartoons that had nothing but content of your enemies?

Some of you all THOUGHT that their election time criticisms of Barack Obama were serious.   I figured that they would not last if he were elected.  With the "Democrat Who Is Black" - Dr Ronald Walters as a frequent contributor to their site and Michael Eric Dyson and Dr Juliane Malveaux on their board of directors there was no chance that this would turn into a "left wing Obama bashing" outlet.  They desire to see the Democratic party "go left" far more than they would ever want to weaken this president, leaving him vulnerable for a return of the Republican Party.

I just ask everyone to note that in their plan - the Black Community's build up is a BY-PRODUCT of the build up in strength of the Democratic Party.  This is a key point that can never be forgotten.  Sadly we see the consequences of this fool's agreement.  While the Democratic Party controls every Black majority district and in some cases a Black community has 100% Democratic representation from local, through the state and up to the federal government - that promised BY-PRODUCT is still a work in progress.  Of course, we must "Remain Unified" behind the current arrangement.  "ASKING QUESTIONS" and demanding "EARNEST MONEY" at a certain check point only helps the Republicans come back into power and thus is against "The Black Best Interests" - don't you know?

It is stunning to see the perversion of these concepts.  They hold the "Black Best Interests" in their hands.  Despite having little to show in line with this claim - we are asked to stick with them as it will come in time.  The Black Establishment is complicit in this entire order and thus you will not see them challenge their own.  It would be like the right hand slapping the left hand - the "body" would experience the pain of the slap.

The Agenda Of "The Black Commentator.com"

As suspected the Black Commentator has changed from ATTACKING the President of the United States over to DEFENDING the President Of The United States against the enemy - the Conservatives.

This narrative is played in nearly every single Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chaser media distribution point.  It matters not if it is on the web, on the radio, on television or in print.   The enemy of the Black community is the Conservative in whatever form he takes.

Thus there is little surprise to see the new orientation that BC has taken.

In the article listed above the columnist goes back through history and details the RACISTS that have come from the state of South Carolina and have directed assaulted the interests of Black people.  It must be noted that our fine author did not define them as "Democrats" who did these things in the past to Black people.  Instead it is most strategically correct to label them as "Conservatives".  We know that there are no racist White liberals to be found anywhere.

If you analyze their perspective enough you begin to see that theirs is a "Fight AGAINST" the forces that harm their interests more than any sort of constructive agenda that ORGANICALLY arrives at their desirable destination.

In response to an article about the "Black Flight Progressive" found on theGrio.com site a poster directed me to this article entitled "No Exit In Black" from TheBlackCommentator.com which he felt better represented the class dynamics in Black America than did the "Black Flight Progressive" model.

Upon reading the article the same pattern emerged.  Their plan is to assume control over the government of the United States and will focus upon reapportioning the resources that stream from the government to the people.  Sounds good.

As I sit back and analyze their plans - knowing that they are anti-capitalist / anti-corporation - I struggle to understand HOW THE VALUE OF THE AMERICAN CURRENCY is going to be maintained as they take the reigns?   

Already our dollar is backed by massive debt.  This debt is purchased only to the extent that investors are willing to fund our debt in return for the receipt of interest payments upon their investments.

I recall the BC series entitled "A Plan For Cities To Save Themselves" .  This series focused upon "the flight of capital from the cities".  I was stuck then as I am now in understanding how they plan to accomplish their massive financial reorder without respecting one key fact:

The Value Of The US Dollar Is Intrinsic To The Very Capitalistic Market System That They Hate.

Taking control over a government is nothing new.  The leftist in Honduras, Guatemala, Chad, Niger and Laos have "control over the government".  Clearly control alone does not translate into what they speak of as a destination.

Instead this gaping hold in their logic is the fatal flaw.  They have a circular reference of dependency upon the value of the US economy which, after reapportionment will lead to the glory days that they long for.

I happen to be a bit more skeptical.  

I am inclined to look at their track records in the "cities" that they have thus far focused their efforts upon to look for the evidence of their brilliant financial stewardship.  Except - there is nothing there but "good intentions".  Instead of focusing upon a discrete plot of land and executing their strategy with success and then scaling it they want to do the opposite and thus lies the fatal flaw.

Upon reading the above paragraph I have the suspicion that they would counter with the point that "Today the CAPITALIST/CORPORATIST controls the economy and the currency and thus it is impossible to do what we want to unless we have control of the national economic system". 

From this point - please apply the previous "circular reference" that I noted above.

I have stated previously that "PROGRESSIVISM IS NOT ORGANIC". It is fundamentally an "Contrarian Activist Movement".

They can't destroy the "Goose That Funds Their Lifestyle".  They can only ever incrementally draw upon it for their own nutrition.  A radical move against the "goose" would cause it to die and the Progressive would be "all alone by himself" - INTENDING to make the labor that he now controls be productive but ultimately unable to restore their "Standard Of Living" as it was under capitalism.   

If it is true that "no people will ever give back what they were made to incrementally grow accustomed to" when it comes to government entitlement - so is the case with regard to the average standard of living that capitalism has created for the masses.   The sudden loss of this standard would destroy all of the "social justice laws and protections" that the Progressive lays claim to.

Inherently BlackCommentator.com can only ever operate within the confines of the Democratic Party establishment - attempting to pull it to the left, where they reside.   Despite playing the role of "radical Black nationalists" they are NOT promoting "Black Organic Strength".  They are an American Integrationalist entity who hangs the images of "Black Nationalism" out on their store front.  You will not hear any serious plans and follow through on separating themselvs from the "capitalistic beast" that they so frequently are critical of.
