We are NOT having a debate about Health Care in this nation right now.
We are actually having a fight between competing ECONOMIC IDEOLOGIES.
It is critical that we get to the fundamentals in this debate.
On my drive home I heard a person on NPR state that it is "Immoral" to allow individual people to go bankrupt in pursuit of health care.
I completed the composite point by noting "A nation that goes bankrupt seeking to insure that NO INDIVIDUAL goes bankrupt in pursuit of medical care it itself IMMORAL".
We are having a debate about the WORTH/VALUE of individual Americans to the whole of society.
Some people ask that SOCIETY show that everyone is of equal worth as expressed by the rest of the soceity to care for them when they are in need of help.
Another group of people ask that those who believe themselves to be EQUAL demonstrate this status by aligning their own valuation of their time, mental discipline and social behaviors to some greater purpose that can benefit society.
We are having a debate about how to BUILD UP a people.
Some people see that there is a need for a society to provide RESOURCES to everyone on a more equal basis before society expects equal outcomes for these individuals.
Others make note that it is impossible to BUILD UP a people unless these same people who stand to benefit from any construction that takes place be the PRIMARY AGENTS LIFTING THE LOAD. The strength and control that they learn during this journey will be leveraged as they build up layer upon layer upon layer of additional competencies now that they have the basics systematized, fully appreciating both the cost of not respecting such values but also insuring that these notions are instilled into their progeny.
