We once controlled this consciousness, focusing our activism directly upon our permanent interests. Today the "Malcolm X Political Football Game" has us as starters and some believe that this playing time translates into absolute progress for our people. My goal is to hold our permanent interests in their faces, forcing them to explain their actions.

Stopping Pirates From Creating A "Profile" Before "Racial Profiling" Sets In As People Get An Image Of Those Who Terrorize

So frequently our discussion about "Racial Profiling" focuses upon the indignity and bias for someone to infer that just because a person from your particular group has committed a crime that YOU are also inclined to commit a crime.

At the same time it is INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST for someone to watch the news in Atlanta yet DENY that:

.....there is a problem most intensely in certain parts of the metro region and thus make sure that they avoid these unsafe areas (hell - some Black people on camera say this as well)
......there are certain M.O.s that are used - (ie: car jacking, "smash and grab", home invasions, stick-ups)
and sadly........there is a CHARACTERISTIC that is common among a HIGH PERCENTAGE OF THESE PIRATES.

Keep your head in the sand at your own risk.

AT THE SAME TIME, AS A BLACK MAN - I am NOT going to accept that someone should infer from my race that I am a threat to them. Surely there should be more incriminating evidence that one's life or property is at risk because they see a tall Black man walking toward them.

I would be in denial, however, to pretend that what is going on right now that is all over the news does not impact the views of some people that these neighborhoods that are depicted by heaving concentrations of Black people - are violent communities. (Again - watch some of the news clips and see various Black females saying as much).

Instead of crying about "White Flight" once "too many of us move in" we need to focus on MANAGING AND POSITIVELY DIRECTING THE YOUNG BLACK MALES WHO ARE CRAFTING AN IMAGE FOR THE POLICE SKETCH ARTIST VIA THEIR ACTIONS!!

The worst part about it is that, despite the focus upon the offense of "Racial Profiling" - it is our people who suffer the most as victims of these Pirate Attacks.

The Use Of "Slave/Jim Crow Images" In Black Political Debate - Evaluate The Agenda

The use of "slave imagery" is common in ideological discourse among Black people today. The best way to appraise the veracity of the agenda of the presenter is to distinguish between those images which are used to cajole Black people into "Ideological Unity" versus those images used to bring consciousness to the sad fact that in far too many cases today - the man holding the gun is a Black man, his disturbed consciousness allowed to fester because the balance of our community organizers are focused on external political affairs. They sell us on the notion that when our people assist their political/ideological external partners in their success that these individuals who suffer from BENIGN NEGLECT will be cured - no longer terrorizing us. In the circular reference that is their struggle - the more damaged individuals that matriculate through the local institutions that they now control per their struggle, the louder their call for continued UNITY and redirection lest our community's long time external adversaries start terrorizing us again. They successfully avoid community scrutiny of their stewardship of our key "Human Resource Development" institutions.
