Social Security Recipients Face Smaller Checks Now Terminal Conditions In The Long Run

Next year marks first time in a generation that payments won't increase

Someone help me understand this one.

IF it is a "crime" to not get the present Social Security recipients their Cost Of Living Adjustments NOW (a few hundred dollars) what say you of the EVIL that awaits them come 2035?

The Treasury has already told all of us that Social Security's trust fund will be exhausted by 2035 - two years earlier than what this article states. At this time all payouts to SS will come from the government's current accounts. Thus there will be a massive "crowd out" effect. The federal government will have to "Rob Peter To Pay Paul" as this run away entitlement spending culture finally catches up with us.

We all need see that present dependency is going to lead to future inability to fend off whatever the government chooses to do. You will have no ability to do other than what "those who pay the bills" want you to do.
