2 Young Black Mothers Were Shot, execution style, in College Park Georgia last weekend. While America was focused upon the arrest of a big time college professor this story did not make it to the desk of the President of the United States. Murder in our community used to be a big deal. The Civil Rights Movement was started largely because we as African-Americans were "sick and tired of being terrorized in our own homes"
(True story here:) As I type this I have the news on in the background. It sounds like today is the 63rd anniversary of the lynching of 2 black couples (one woman was pregnant) at the Moores Ford Bridge in Walton County Georgia. Ironically it is sponsored by the Georgia Association of Black Elected Officials. one of their representatives ALSO presides over College Park where these two Black mothers were killed just last weekend. I will follow up on this story in a distinct posting, highlighting the diversion because "A White person killing a Black, even 63 years ago is more POWERFUL than when a Black person has killed a Black just 7 days ago", at least in the minds of some. This is how "Non-White White Supremacy" works.
The purpose of this particular post is to give an opportunity for the family members of the victims of the pirate attacks to let their feelings about their losses be known. Thus the archive of "What Is Making Black People Cry Today?" is stuffed with another bit of evidence.
