Steve McNair Suffers Fatal Gunshot Wounds

This murder is even more disappointing because I recall how much pride the people from Alcorn State University had in "one of their own" who made it big. Alcorn State is a small HBCU in Mississippi. Years ago when their talented quarterback came on the scene - this school got national attention.

Steve McNair went on to the NFL and took his team to the Super Bowl.

When I heard about McNair's death my initial response was one of shock and disbelief. At this time I had figured that he was a victim of a home invasion murder - by a thug looking to score some big money. By the time I got home and read more details on the Internet I saw that it was likely a "murder-suicide". By that time I figured that it was McNair that had killed the female and then his self. This was while I was under the assumption that he had only one wound to the head.

I even talked with my cousin about the likelihood that it was the male who killed the female and them himself. She told me how unusual it is for the female to shoot a man and then herself. I suggested that she should consider the "unbalanced" females who just might do this very thing.

This morning I read the article above and I see that Mr McNair was hit multiple times in his body and then his head. Clearly someone else shot him rather than he shooting the woman and then himself.

This story also introduces the issue of this now dead female companion along with the fact that Steve McNair was married to a different woman.
