What Is Making Black People Cry Today - Part X - WHERE IS THE NAACP In All Of This?
Maybe if I stopped watching the news and reading the newspaper on Saturday and Sunday mornings then I would be oblivious to the scene that goes on with certainty each of these mornings.
In Metro Atlanta (and I am sure many other areas as well) there is rarely a weekend that goes by in which there is NOT a dead Black person to speak of and the scene of some loved one wailing at the news of his or her demise.
Once again - unlike what some of my critics claim - I AM NOT basking in the news of these tragic events. My goal - as I have stated before - is to establish some type of basely by which all interested parties can evaluate the various operatives who CLAIM to be PROTECTING THE INTERESTS OF THE BLACK COMMUNITY.
It is clear that if one variable was changed in this episode that these operatives would be out in front of a microphone, expressing their OUTRAGE that a "Black man got kilt. We won't stand for this!! We have come too far as a people to allow someone to roll across a member of our community like so. THEY are going to hear from US".
That one variable - as if you needed to guess is the question of WHO IS KILLING THESE BLACK PEOPLE?
They know full well WHO is doing the killing. In as much as it is not "THEY" - the exploitable surface is removed and thus we are treated to SILENCE from the usual megaphone carriers.
Indeed most of these deaths and assaults are caused by guns. I fully expect that when we do hear from the usual suspects they will be leaning strongly on the Obama Administration to wage a war on GUNS.
This makes about as much sense as a "Ban On Ropes and Nooses".
Back when they were in their prime time - you do notice that these Civil Rights Organizations did not focus on the TOOLS that were used to kill Black folks. Instead they sought to have the operatives LOCKED THE HELL UP after demanding that the LAWS against the assault of a Black person be enforced.
I don't recall anyone noting that the "White Trash" that was killing these Black people - were doing so because the rest of the White society had marginalized them and thus the Black community should try to UNITE with them and form an economic block as fellow workers.
Instead they sought PUNISHMENT for the crimes executed upon Black people.
The bottom line is that this present assault is not going to subside despite TRYING HARDER after the wrong thing.
It is time to bring in to question the various theories by which the people who are executing their crime spree upon be examined for its veracity at resolving these problems.
