A confidence trick or confidence game (also known as a bunko, con, flim flam, gaffle, grift, hustle, scam, scheme, or swindle) is an attempt to defraud a person or group by gaining their confidence.
Some corrective words to my friend Rikyrah as posted on the "Booker Rising" blog.
Rikyrah says:

I notice that you all have coined the term "Slave Catcher", applying it to Michael Steele, Clarence Thomas and a few others. Clearly the "racial profile" is that of a Black Conservative.
Please afford me to play some "word assembly" with you charges.
Black people did work with "Slave Traders" to ensnare Africans, capturing them and putting them into bondage as SLAVES. They were transported to the Americas on "Slave ships". These FREE AFRICANS were not "Slaves" while in Africa, until they were CAUGHT, thus these Blacks who worked as agents for the "Slave Traders" were not "Slave Catchers".
As we shift over to the USA and focus upon the recapture of RUNAWAY SLAVES.....do YOU have any evidence that FREE BLACK PEOPLE ever worked as "Slave Catchers", working in the North East and Canada to return "escaped slaves" into bondage? I am not saying that they never existed. I am asking YOU to PROVE IT if they did.
So I wonder HOW IT IS you can label Steele and Thomas "Slave Catchers"?
Whom are they targeting?
WHAT are these ensnared people being BROUGHT BACK TO?
IF Steele and Thomas are working on behalf of the REPUBLICAN PARTY, to ENSNARE BLACK PEOPLE to become REPUBLICANS.........I am sure that you would BOTH agree & be PLEASED to know.......THEY HAVE FAILED MISERABLY in this mission!!!!
But Rikyrah. I'm not done with you yet.
Let's put the OTHER SIDE on trial for a minute.
If indeed you are talking about the ensnarement of Black people into a certain fold when they try to THINK ABOUT THEIR CIRCUMSTANCES and then ESCAPE - wouldn't you agree that Dr Ronald Walters - Poly Sci professor and Democratic Operative more functionally fits this mold?
He has an operating mission that says "Above all else WE CANNOT ALLOW THE BLACK VOTE TO FRACTURE BETWEEN MORE THAN ONE PARTY, LEST WE LOSE OUR VOTING POWER AS A BLOC".
Did you notice Rikyrah that he focuses on UNITY rather than EFFECTIVENESS? (accomplishment of the Black Permanent Interests)
If we are to operate beyond NAME CALLING and instead look toward EFFECTIVE ENSNAREMENT, Rikyrah - Ronald Walters and the other "Democrats Who are Black" that operate in an unrestricted manner WITHIN THE BLACK COMMUNITY, on behalf of the DEMOCRATS function as SLAVE CATCHERS.
I hate to use that word Rikyrah. You see MY PEOPLE were not "Slaves" (a noun and a state of being) They were ENSLAVED. (a condition imposed upon them).
It gets worse from here Rikyrah.
If we were to plot the GAP between the AMOUNT OF PROMISES & the alignment of our RACIAL FRAMEWORK upon a given political entity VERSUS the SUCCESS IN GETTING "THE BLACKS" TO FOLLOW THROUGH IN DELIVERING THEIR CROWN JEWELS INTO AN EFFORT.......Rikyrah THE REPUBLICANS HAVE FAILED TO ATTRACT OUR PEOPLE. The Democrats have been wildly successful on the front end......BUT.......on the BACK END RESULTS they have FAILED MISERABLY.
When have we had more FAVORABLE PEOPLE running our key institutions Rikyrah? Despite this fact - we have the same problems.
The term "Slave Catch" if morphed into a more FUNCTIONAL term for everyone's benefit should be:
BLACK CONFIDENCE OPERATIVES.
You see - those who prey upon our GRIEVANCES, who market their wares by tying their AGENDA into OURS.
These are the people that YOU should be most concerned about Rikyrah.
There is rarely a day in which I screen my computer recordings of "Fight The Power" radio stations and NOT hear an attack on Steele, Thomas, Rice, and other Conservatives.
YOU need to ask WHY THOSE WITH ACTUAL POWER receive so few attacks.
