Black Press Operatives - Obama's Press Agents

Article: Earl Ofari Hutchinson: Obama´s Marriage Defense Shouldn´t Surprise or Anger Anyone

Earl Ofari Hutchinson, like the AJC's Cynthia Tucker, like Eugene Robinson. Like so many other Black press operatives. It is clear in viewing the end product of their work that they look at a good portion of Obama's decisions, step back and see how they can argue on his behalf to insure that their work can be used as a reference to advance the "Obama Position"......THEIR position.

If you read Earl Ofari Hutchinson's article above at face value and nothing more you might even be convinced that this is a rational depiction of the motivations of a "Constitutional Law" professor. He was that the "Defense of Marriage Act" was first as "hate filled" attempt by the GOP to garner the "Black vote" and second, and most importantly, it was a perversion of "contract law" which states that one state must respect contracts made in other states.

There in resides the gross contradiction in Mr. Hutchinson's argument.

In his quest to paint "President of the Union" Barack Obama as having a strong commitment to the "institution of traditional marriage" Mr. Hutchinson points to the statements to this regard by candidate Obama. This, it is hoped by Hutchinson, will establish the man's credentials. Then he throws in the aversion to discrimination and contract law as his argument.

What Mr Hutchinson FAILS to make note of is the AGENDA OF THE "HOMOSEXUAL LOBBY". Their agent prior to "DOMA" was to get ONE STATE to approve same sex marriage at the CONTRACT LEVEL and then use this CONTRACT to go into other states and demand via CONTRACT LAW that their SAME SEX MARRIAGE BE RECOGNIZED! Wouldn't you expect a fair minded writer to mention this? One has to ASSUME that Mr Hutchinson is "fair minded" for this to be the case, doesn't one?

I have a tickler for me to be on the look out for the number of Black press and Black blog sites that repeat Barack Obama's recent "STATES RIGHTS" reference the other day in association with his plans to take down the "DOMA". We all know that "Ronald Reagan Went To Philadelphia Mississippi To Talk States Rights To The Racists" narrative lives in the annals of Black Progressive folklore. "States Rights" is a coded word for RACISM. Thus when Obama makes this reference of this loaded word to advance his agenda....the irony will be highlighted by Black people. Right?

The Big Lie By Hutchinson

They dumped big bucks from Bush's Faith-Based Initiative program into church-run education and youth programs. Black church leaders not only endorsed Bush but in some cases they actively worked for his re-election, and encouraged members of their congregations to do the same.

I read editorial cartoons posted on "The Black Electorate" which argue that "Black preachers were BOUGHT OFF" by "The Faith Based Initiative". I see Hutchinson and other biased operatives advance this claim in written form. First they ascribe a purely POLITICAL MOTIVATION for these "faith based funds". Then they go off and make the case that these funds were given to Black churches to purchase their votes. Ironically - against pointing out that some people can argue "both coming and going" when the reports came out that in fact BLACK CHURCHES GOT LITTLE OF THE "FAITH BASED FUNDS"........there were complaints that BUSH SHORTED BLACK CHURCHES with "Faith Based Funds".

None of these follow up reports told about how the Black Quasi-Socialist Progressive-Fundamentalist Racism Chaser operative front were the big 350 lb line backers with a switch blade hidden in their socks that helped their leftist Democrat soul mates to block the "Faith Based Initiative" at every front. Now they laugh "Hah Hah Hay Bush - YOU FAILED at your initiative to shift government responsibility to the churches".

THE MEDIA MAKES THE STORY

I told everyone before that beyond all else it is the job of the media to look around at the assemblage of facts that are scattered upon the ground, pick them up and build a story. Such is the case with the Bush and then the Obama era "Faith Based Initiative".

Look around right now. Do you ever hear any negative intent associated with the OBAMA "Faith Based Initiative"? Thus far I have only hear a positive spin. My how things change so quickly. Over time I have heard no less than 5 deep inspections of the "F.B.I." during the Bush era where its agenda was scrutinized. Where are these reports today? How did the same entity change to "good" in such a short time?

It is clear why. There was a certain bit of assumptions assigned to one president's agenda and the media took this assumption and ran with it.

Since when did the FACTS get in the way of a Black Press Operative though?

Few Black Churches Get Funds
Small Percentage Participate in Bush's Faith-Based Initiative

Black churches in the Northeast and those with self-identified progressive congregations and liberal theologies were most likely to be taking part in the program, a finding that surprised the researchers, who concluded that the White House has not used the program as a political tool as some critics have suspected.

"Those people who were most worried can exhale," said Robert M. Franklin, a professor of social ethics at Emory University who worked as a consultant on the survey. "Churches have not been manipulated by Karl Rove. They have not sold out."

Despite instances of grants going to political and ideological supporters of President Bush, the survey found that, overall, liberal-leaning churches were more likely to apply for and receive the grants, even though they tend to view the program more skeptically than their conservative counterparts do.

Mr Hutchenson - I am no longer "surprised nor angered" at YOUR antics. I just know that I had better do some fact checks so that I can come to my independent conclusion after reading your work and that of Cynthia Tucker. I am ANGRY that you force me to do more work than I should have to in order to get to the TRUTH.

If there is one place that could use a bit more DIVERSITY.....of VIEWPOINTS....it is the BLACK PRESS.
