On so many issues I am forced to make note of how certain people finally come around to my position - a common sense position - in their own way but seek to save face in the process.
When this occurs it is more important for me to keep this notation inside of me rather than holding their change in advocacy up in their face with the possibility of causing them to be more reluctant to evolve their position the next time to admit it.
I am NOT claiming that the person who sent me this, who is a very very active Democrat agreed that young Black males should be showing their boxers. I am saying that this person was not willing to come forward when it was spun as a "conservative attack" upon young Black males.

I love this one.. i have been thinking, speaking, and wondering about this syndrome/disease for years as a young lady. Conservatives unfortunately were right, but the liberal's view should not really believe that the freedom to look like a fool is relevant or even acceptable.
Honestly - the notion of "conservative ideas" versus "liberal ideas" must die. Those who are entrenched on both sides of the issue will be loathed to assume THE RIGHT position because of this "team sport" mentality.
This issue is a no brainer. This was received from one of the biggest female "Obama cheerleaders" that I know. I have to credit her though. She knows more than any how to leverage the "Obama image" as a "positive nudge" to accomplish the stated goals.
Thus instead of making the case "Walking down the street with your pants hanging down, holding your nuts is STUPID. It makes you look like a cross between a fool which is out of alignment with the rest of the world and a potential rapist that is obsessed with making sure his nuts are still there".
This Obama reference does what the Black community en masse prefers. Give an "offender within" OUTREACH and OPPORTUNITY.
The only problem is that when it FAILS - they remain comforted with their INTENTIONS and "niceness" than with their FAILURE and need for new tactics.
