Gang Drive By Shooting Near Turner Field In Atlanta Kills A Teen

One teen shot in gang attack near Turner Field dies

So many people focus on the violence that the Civil Rights Movement in Atlanta supposedly put into check but are relatively silent about today's violence. This is mostly because the perpetrators are different. Still the common denominator is that "a Black man lays dead" at the end of the day. True civil rights would focus on the VICTIM rather than the PERPETRATOR and his motivations.

One of three teenaged boys shot in what police are calling a gang-related attack has died, according to a Grady Memorial Hospital nursing supervisor.

The victim was one of two teens shot in the head by drive-by assailants near Turner Field Sunday night, according to Atlanta police

The second victim with a head wound remains in critical condition at Grady. The third victim was shot in the ankle and as of Monday afternoon was listed in serious condition.

The victims’ names have not been released. Two are are 15 years old and the third is 16, police said.

Atlanta police are looking for as many as eight suspects who fled the scene in a white Ford Crown Victoria and a black Saturn after the shootings, which took place near Hank Aaron Drive and Haygood Avenue.

Witnesses said the assailants, believed to range in age from 16 to their early 20s, chased the three victims and shot at them while they ran.
