Rev Calvin Butts In His Own Words

  1. Breaking Of Colonialism
  2. Civil Rights Movement
  3. Apartheid In South Africa
  4. Nelson Mandela As President of South Africa
  5. Million Man March
  6. Barack Obama's Presidency

"Wall Street is in such a crisis but Barack Obama is the president and will probably pull us out." "Every time America gets in trouble we pull her out of it"

Do you see the problem folks? For Rev Calvin Butts and others they are able to produce "check lists" rather than material inspection to the question "is it ACTUALLY WORKING?"

Replacing colonialism in Zimbabwe, the Congo and Liberia (some would argue that Liberia was a settlement rather than a colonial territory) came about blood thirsty African leaders who in many cases are indistinguishable from those who taught them well. Few people in Zimbabwe are thanking Mugabe for "leading them forward". Instead they want him to die so the nation can go in a different direction.

In South Africa indeed Mandela lead to the collapse of Apartheid. His presidency was more symbolic than effective. The man who followed him has failed to address the pressing problems in the nation. Crime is the new oppressor of the average South African today.

Here in America the same Black activist who took to the streets to prevent domestic terrorism and intimidation when a White man was doing it sit largely silent now that a BLACK MAN is doing the system systematic attacks upon us with his gangs, guns and drugs.

Sadly since Rev Butts sees President Barack Obama as a crowning achievement of his vision - he is not likely to continue to SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER at the national, let alone the local level regarding that which is impacting Black people and how a government which is favorable to him is also failing to deliver his best interests.

As Rev Butts and others celebrate Obama in New York City a Black kid is thrown from a roof and the Black neighbors are living in terror.
